A little puzzled why Solanke and Son don't get as many chances to shoot. Son turned himself into a play-maker with 7 key passes and 2 assists, taking MOM.
I could be wrong but VAR only gets involved in potential red cards and potential penalties. They will not stop and review every potential yellow card or foul.
There was one pass in the first half from BJ to Kulu that was brilliant and opened up the low block. If he adds more of that to his game he could be a seriously good player.
Vicario needs to be confident with his calls...mate if you have decided to come out then that is it come in straight with conviction or a motive not come out with abit of doubt in yourself that is the reason he gets it wrong or stay in the middle and concede goals Another worry is our front 3 they are very poor in the final third very sloppy Son could have scored 2 kulu at least one & Johnson as usually with poor end product in the final third the only positive was the defence and two midfielders Bentancur and Maddison i thought they were sharp in the middle of the park

You can see from Son how rock bottom his confidence is right at the moment. In one of the few times he shot at goal, time seemed to stand still to the point where you didn't even have to put his shot on slow motion to see his utter confusion on how to strike the ball. It is incredible to see and I can only think that for a player that has never looked this bad over such a long stretch, his body must be starting to fail him in a way that is causing so much self doubt. A real worry and leaves the forward options that will actually provide much needed goals absolutely threadbare, because despite their goals Johnson and Solanke hardly look any more confident in front of goal. Johnson's goal was an example of the limitations of his overall game. Shift it right and then hit it so perfectly the GK can't save it. No skill or technical ability used to beat a man and in fact he shifted the ball further away and then smashed it. It's a great goal, but the he won't be able to do that more than once or twice a season. Then what?

he made three touches trying to clear it. the first touch, was fine, the second i believe it was just on the edge of the box in line with a brentford player. the third touch was certainly outside the box but it didnt look like it changed the flight path of the ball, which is why var didnt overturn. by the letter of the law, vic should have been red carded but considering the context it would have been very harsh
Do you think the keeper handballing it is an automatic red card or something? It sould have been a yellow and a free kick which is why VAR wasn't able to overturn it.

I think they wanted to give him a yellow card instead of a red, but Var doesn't really care about yellows.
