  • Part 2: • Deep Dive - The Biggie...
    --------
    In this new "Deep Dive" series, "Murder Rap" filmmaker and co-producer of "Unsolved" Mike Dorsey goes into the overlooked and under-explored aspects of the Tupac and Biggie murders. In the first episode, Dorsey investigates the "mysterious striped shirt" guy from the night of Biggie's death. While police originally highlighted a man wearing a bowtie as possible suspect that witnesses saw on the night of the shooting, multiple witnesses also described seeing a man in a striped shirt who seemed unwelcoming towards the Bad Boy crew. Check out the above episode to hear Dorsey explore the role the unidentified suspect may have played in Biggie's murder.

    I don’t think people realise how lucky we are to actually have footage of both the 2Pac casino altercation and Biggie’s murder. I’m from the 90’s and I remember that camera were very rare. Really only used in certain places I.E. casinos, banks, etc. It wasn’t like it is today where you can get a digital camera for a few bucks and stick it to your front door and film the entire street. I bet Biggie’s killers were probably sweating when footage came out that was recorded by a bystander in a parked car.

      @paradiseplayer5103 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@tf7223 I agree with you - partially. I first want to say that I didn’t say the footage was case-cracking worthy, I’m just pointing to the fact that there was a lot caught on camera both these nights. I also wouldn’t say that the killers did everything right. There was a lot of slip-ups. A lot of people got arrested along the way and bits of evidence were uncovered over time by these mishaps. One example is the arrest of Craig Mack. They found a car in his garage that matched the description of the car that Biggie’s killer was driving.
      The main reason both killers got away with their crimes is because of the mark that it would leave on the cities that the crimes occurred in. So both PD’s did a good job at sweeping it under the rug. Once they started uncovering what was really happening, they realised that if this gets out it will destroy them.

    2 things I must say. 1st, the guy in the video with the striped polo shirt is very tall, more like 6'3"-6'5" & that doesn't fit the description of Biggie's people of 5'8" to 5'10" tall. And (B) when I was living in LA during this time, I told friends in Brooklyn that Biggie better never come out here bc there were no bodies at my job that said, "If that fat motha fucka comes out here, I'll smoke that foo, we riding for Pac & the west side." And they meant it. This goes in line with the end of the video when the narrator said the striped polo shirt guy just might be mad at Bad Boy & wanted to make them feel unwelcomed. Oh and one last thing, LiL Cease saw the whole shooting bc he was directly behind Big when it happened. He said the shots came from the car. He was right there. Those two calls could have been done by Death Row.

    Could it be that the 3 people mentioning the man in the striped shirt collaborated their stories well before the shooting even took place to throw suspicion his way and he was there mean mugging as a decoy so others could see him, it makes no sense that if I'm the shooter before I shoot I'm staring people down bringing unnecessary attention to myself unless he was a decoy, I think all 3 people mentioning the striped shirt guy were all in on it some way some how

      To go deeper, a striped shirt is very easy to describe and see, if I'm the shooter I'm trying to be incognito, again he was a decoy and the 3 people mentioning him including the caller collaborated well before the shooting

    Interesting... The Nation Of Islam guy that was the main suspect mentioned briefly if people don't know is Amir Muhammed, he's the godfather of David Mack's children. Mack was a cop who worked for Death Row, brought in by Reggie Wright Jr (who also was a former cop turned manager and later ran Death Row when Suge went to jail). Mack worked security on the side for Death Row and struck up a friendship with Tupac, he even had a shrine to Tupac in his garage (this was found out when Mack commited a major bank robbery).

      the exit from the museum parking garage to the corner of Fairfax and Wilshire is not very far. The striped shirt guy was standing right at the exit of the museum parking garage, if he was a spotter for the shooter all he had to do is walk to the corner which would not take very long to inform the shooter.
