This new trailer gives us a look at what's next in store for Spider-Man when Quentin Beck supposedly shows up from an alternate universe. You take the "Next Iron Man" to literally, it is meant to mean, being the next Defender of Earth, like Iron Man practically was. And I think Tony made sure of it, giving him Access to his Technology/Lab or something so Parker can Keep developing and advancing his Suit and Weapons. (With the Blessing and support of Pepper) I also hope there will be something Morgan related, like Peter being sort of a big Brother to her. (I would love that)
I was wrong about endgame. But why do they get Spider-man and not Dr. Strange? What if the villain isn't Mysterio, but instead an evil Spider-Man from the other universe? I mean who better to fight Spider-Man than Spider-Man right? Oh, also because of Marvel What if?, X-Men exist on another earth which setup X-Men vs. Avengers. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure they're visiting Venice during Carnival. That is usually held during February since it is essentially from what Mardi Gras grew. It would explain the costumes the others are wearing in that pub and also why Mysterio and Peter would feel ok not wearing their masks, they're just "other" carnival attendees in costume.
A major reason that I'm subbed to you guys and love hearing your thoughts on things is due to Hector. The man is extremely knowledgeable of the comics and he makes very reasonable points.

there’s a reason Spider-Man is the last movie of phase 3 and not Endgame. It is completely possible that Mysterio is lying about him being a “good guy” and not the multiverse part.

I took the “ next iron man “ line as him being the new face of the mcu . They need a new face and somebody has to pick up Tony’s mantle .
I don't think they 'need' a new face. Tony stark was in a unique place purely because he had the first mcu movie. Marvel should Just let the movies do their thing instead of trying to push a character Into being the face of their universe. That's how you end up with batman who sucks up all the attention from other dc charcters, or wolverine (fox movies) who turned the xmen universe into logan and friends.
Though if they need a new face, captain marvel and black panther massively out grossed spiderman. Logic would dictate one of them being the new face, alt right trolls be damned. Though as I mentioned earlier, they don't need a new face. I hope this is a spiderman movie and not a ironman jr film.

He’s in the top 3 of superheroes behind Superman and Batman . Marvel lost tony , Steve and Thor is with the guardians now , they need a new face . No other hero is anywhere near as close of an icon as Spider-Man . It’s clearly gonna be an iron man movie because he’s gonna realize he just needs to be Spider-Man , not iron man . Homecoming was about him knowing he didn’t need the suit , Far from home is gonna be him coming to terms with no more tony in his life and being the best Spider-Man he can be . To even say that captain marvel or black panther should be the face is blasphemy , the only argument you could make for them is that they’re adults and Peter is a child . That’s the only thing stopping Peter rn .

Imagine if Miles was 5 years younger than Peter during Infinity War and didn't get snapped, Miles would now be the same age as Peter and could easily be on same trip.

There was a 3 year age difference between Peter and Miles in the Ultimate Universe before Peter got killed. It's very possible that they could be the same age in the MCU due to the snap.
They introduced the multiverse in Doctor Strange. The ancient one talks about it "Who are you in this multiverse?"

i think what he meant by "The Next Iron Man" is the whole "Earth's Greatest Defender" thing. Now that iron man is gone, basically the symbol of earth's heroes, a void is left behind. Cap is retired. Thor has gone off world . No one is really taking iron man's place as earth's greatest defender and now spiderman is intending to try and be that symbol iron man left behind.
My Fan Theory is that a good Mysterio is from another Universe (we might meet him and we might not), comes to ours and finds our version of himself to get help, but our Mysterio is bad and he sees an opportunity to steal his tech to be the "Hero". I am probably wrong, but I think it is fun to think up different possible scenarios.
I DONT THINK they are making him the next iron man but rather in a sort of way he is stepping into tonys foot steps to become the earths new type of defender

I think people are taking the whole "next iron man" thing a little too literally. Their most likely talking about the heroic legacy of the character more than anything else. Plus, the Spiderman/Sony/MCU contract was for three solo movies, not two.
Agreed!! I believe that line was taken out of context. I highly doubt Peter was referring to himself in that scene. I believe he was simply stating the world needs the next Iron Man, as in a general statement.
"The World needs The next iron man" means Peter Wants inherit the character, not become the iron man like most people think about. Peter means to Inherit Tony's heroism, Tony's way to Help people, the way Tony saved the entire universe.. Inherit the character..not become Iron man. Peter is a Great Man with Great Mentors in his life, amd he is a wise man, He will never become someone else but himself.. But Make other people to be his Role model like his uncle and tony stark

The whole “the world needs a new Iron Man”, is just a metaphor. Obviously, Spidey is going to be Spidey. It’s a story about him stepping up to fill in the shoes that Tony left, someone who looks after the world.
That's what we're talking about. Spider-Man doesn't need to be that.
If there is 1000 people in a school, that doesn't mean 500 of them got snapped. The snap was random. All 1000 could've survived, or 1000 could've disappeared.

This trailer dovetails nicely from Avengers Endgame and serves as an epilogue to Avengers Endgame. Well the Ultimate Universe Quentin Beck had a device that he was able to use to go to other worlds and basically steal tech from the other worlds. Beck could be telling the truth or he could be lying to just trying to gain attention, recognition of being a hero. Nick Fury definitely will have trust issues and bringing in Peter Parker gives a fresh perspective. He is a special effects wizard who worked for the movie industry and he could be the one creating all these elements with Hydro-Man, Molten Man etc., so that he can destroy them and say that he saved the day. In Endgame they did kind of tease the 616 with Scott Lang's Van which was a nice deep cut.

If you think about it, anyone that is a close friend to peter should realize he's Spider-Man. Spiderman the new York based hero is oddly in Europe and DC when we happen to go-hey where's Peter at?
Dot well tbh Spiderman is an avenger so he could just be international at the same time, Peter really only has two friends, Ned and MJ, Ned found out when he caught Peter in the act(essentially Peter exposed himself to Ned), and MJ found out mostly because she has a huge crush on Peter and payed close mind to him, if you watch Homecoming most of the time he’s in school MJ is lurking around him(even when he’s was detention and she had ‘no reason’ being there) its even hinted that she has an inkling of who it might be in the deleted scenes of Homecoming, MJ even says that “she has an idea of who it might be” because tbh she was able to connect the dots because she “stalked” Peter(in a cute but weird way). Essentially what I’m saying is, it’s not that clear cut it’s just that MJ is very observant and also intuitive. I’m kinda glad they made this MJ smart, because no offense most superheroes have “housewife” type girls, I really like that MJ actually brings something to the table.

The “soap opera” aspects of Spider-Man is some of my favorite things about his stories.
The Multi-verse could be the opening to phase 4 because of all the time jumps they did in the past in Avengers endgame.

Ned was really his only friend and given how random the snap was there isn't much point in focusing on it too much. Thanos snap could have literally just wiped out China and India and left the rest of the world unchanged. It didn't, some people disappeared. Some didn't. that's all that matters.

Doctor Strange introduced the concept of multiple dimensions with the psychedelic vistas but didn't really mention alternate Earths in the explicit way that a movie like Into The Spider-Verse did. The Ancient One in Endgame specifically mentioned alternate realities.

Yes Mysterio could be screwing with everybody and not really from a Multiverse but this also could be Marvel making a way for the door to be opened so that the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool can be incorporated into the MCU instead of just throwing them in there and everybody wondering where the hell they were during the Infinity Stones Saga and why they didn't help.

I bet Tony's death opens up the wound of Uncle Ben. I bet Peter tells Happy about Uncle Ben. Tony was a bandaid that removed the pain of the lose of Uncle Ben but now he is gone too.
I think they laid the groundwork for Dr Doom to enter the MCU. They made sure to say in Endgame that governments around the world were in shambles after the snap so maybe a certain genius took that as an opportunity to seize control of a place called Latveria.
And the old avengers towers can be fantastic 4 towers

I have a strong feeling that is the route marvel is taking with this character...
One thing to keep in mind is that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios are SO TUNED IN to what the true fans (like you guys) are saying and doing, that they have to go above and beyond in order to deliver true surprises. They *know* that you guys are going to pick apart this trailer - along with 100 other TH-cam channels. They *know* that you'll think Mysterio is just a liar. As much as they've given away, I do think that ever since Thor Ragnarok, Marvel has been ON POINT with hiding/subverting information - not only for general audiences, but especially for the superfans.
I think the Multiverse stuff is just made up by Mysterio, tricking everyone so he can get Tony Stark's techonolgy

With Fury trying to recruit him I wonder if they're trying set something up like what they did in Ultimate Spiderman where he was part of a team of younger heroes.
Sokensan nah they’re setting up the next avengers initiative, in the next movies concerning phase 4 it will basically be them, continuing on going franchises, then maybe a Fantastic 4 movie(because tbh that’s the only new set of character I think they might introduce before the next avengers), but here’s my estimation of the movies somewhat in order

4.Doctor Strange 2
5.Asguardians of the galaxy
6.Black Panther 2

I’m calling it now, the energy put out from the snap on earth (mentioned in endgame) spreads across the universe and reaches Galactus, making him take notice and send Silver Surfer to check it out while he travels to earth to consume it.
So we're just gonna ignore the fact that they referred Carol as Captain Marvel for the first time? Also, I loved Zac's reaction to Hector's thoughts on multi-verse.

Totally disagree. Peter should absolutely become the new iron man. They obviously mean in “The next hero to look up to”/“the one that can safe them” and not just a “tech-boy”. The new Phase of MCU/New saga will start and we need to focus ok our new main hero. Spiderman is the face of marvel. He is the new Iron man.
Spider-man is his own character. There is no next Iron man because there's only one Iron man. He can be his successor to protect the world but he will never be the next Iron man.

going by the scene in Endgame where Peter is reunited with Ned, Ned is clearly happy, almost to tears, to see the friend he lost 5 years ago. if Ned had been snapped, he would have lost no time just like Peter and the others. I think Mysterio is from the 616 who somehow traveled to an alternate universe where there was no snappening/five year gap or it takes place between "Homecoming" and "Infinity War", which explains why the world seems to be totally fine and the kids are still in the same class and peter using the classic suit. Mysterio will either return or escape back to 616, possibly with some elemental accomplices from the last trailer who could be Sandman, Hydroman or Electro. facing a Spiderman still in the Iron spider suit and far more experienced and battle hardened then before. unable to beat Spiderman alone, he is forced to seek out other allies who share his feelings like the Vulture, Scorpion, and Shocker who together can fill the roster of the Sinister Six. leading to the third movie introducing either Green Goblin or Doc Ock to complete the team and get a reverse Avengers for villains and Peter is their Thanos.
Fantastic Four's first MCU should take place almost totally in space ala Interstellar (but good). They could travel through a wormhole/blackhole into either the Negative Zone or Temporal Limbo (with Immortus or the Time Variance Authority).
I have theories:
• What if thats not the real Nick Fury, the real Nick Fury is trying to contact Peter because his Identity was stolen by the Chamelion.
• Remember the scene ing Civil War where they showing young tony starks and his family having their last conversation, kinda projector thing that can create projection or illusions, what if Mysterio got that during the days of Ultron in Sokovia?
• What if Multiverse is real, he could been hired by Doc Octopus or Norman Osborn. (i really hope theres no Kingpin or Tombstone for now)
I think he's looking for stark technology
What if... this creates a loophole that can bring Tom Hardy's Venom into the MCU, although I have to admit I've never seen the movie, but with the right writers and under Feige's ... wing they could write something incredible with the character without having to do another "origin" story. And with Spider-man being snapped and brought back five years later... this gives Donald Glover's Aaron Davis time to spiral into villainy and become the Prowler... Also if they're gonna make a Fantastic Four movie I want it to have Franklin Richards and sign on an actor for a 6 movie deal playing Nathaniel Richards who eventually becomes Kang the Conqueror from the future and Iron Lad in the present. Tie in Young Avengers. YEAY!

Here is why the multi-verse will be real. Because Sony will be able to pull in this Spiderman into their Venom universe, keeping that seperate from the MCU's spiderman universe.
