First off, the singing and instrumental is very nice, definitely a more emotional version of a classic song. However, I feel like it could have ended at the 3 minute mark or so, as it felt a bit drawn out with the same line over and over, whether it's symbolic or not (I think the line was said 6 times, which could correspond with S6, which was Wash's introduction into RvB/his protagonistic season, the miniseries aside).
Yes, but due to the inherent nature of the song (slower piano), having such long pauses between the same repeated line makes it feel a little longer than needed, whereas in Contact Redux, for example, it went back to its chorus after the big interlude/solo, which was a few different lines, both in terms of vocals and instrumentals. Also, I will admit to being a bit biased due to the original nature of Blood Gulch Blues, which was around 2/3rds the length and formatted differently, while the original Contact was much closer to the same length and format as Redux ended up being.
This song goes out to Rooster Teeth for making all of our childhoods much more fun. R.I.P. Rooster Teeth 2003-2024❤😢

roses are red
living like this
we were already dead
and you know
when the ???
comes along
We will take it
???

We will take it

???
We will take it
[instrumental]
Roses are red
Violets are blue
That day we cruised
Down Blood Gulch Avenue
Red fighting red
Blue fighting blue
I against I
And me against you
Hop in my car
‘Cause you know it won’t have any doors
It runs like a cat, it drives on all fours
My car’s like a puma, and it lands on all fours
Violets are blue
Roses are red
Living like this
We were already dead
And you know, when the shot comes along
We will take it
@@TrocaderoNet Thank you! I was listening with headphones and couldn't identify much.
You realise that a song is more than just the vocal line, yeah?
Yes, but due to the inherent nature of the song (slower piano), having such long pauses between the same repeated line makes it feel a little longer than needed, whereas in Contact Redux, for example, it went back to its chorus after the big interlude/solo, which was a few different lines, both in terms of vocals and instrumentals. Also, I will admit to being a bit biased due to the original nature of Blood Gulch Blues, which was around 2/3rds the length and formatted differently, while the original Contact was much closer to the same length and format as Redux ended up being.
Somehow... I want to cry... But I haven't finished the serial yet..
