11 year teacher here - Teachers don’t use teleprompters. We write lesson plans but most of our lessons are from the heart, unscripted. Our most profound moments are organic when we are speaking from the heart. I would not be the slightest bit surprised if Tim Walz wasn’t using the teleprompter. You can tell he feels every word he speaks like he’s speaking them to his own kids or delivering an inspiring speech for the football team. Everyone likes to underestimate teachers but I think Walz is one of the greatest leaders we’ll ever see. I am so glad Kamala chose him! He is the perfect running mate.

You can also tell he’s probably not relying on a teleprompter by the way he’s genuinely looking 👀 around when he’s addressing the audience as we teachers do. If anything he has an outline on the teleprompter and brief notes on things he feels he might get confused on or forget to remind him what to say/do next. ❤
From my spouses experience, Walz has spoken to school administrators without notes, for 1/2 hr. to an hour, staying on topic, inspiring and eloquent. He will probably use teleprompters minimally to continue to inspire when he speaks.

I’m in DFW, TX & live very near TX Motor Speedway (TMS), which is located at the intersection of a major interstate highway & a state highway. Every summer, on the corner across from TMS, several hardcore MAGAts would set up large sun canopies, gigantic Trump & MAGA flags, “Trump Won” signs, and long folding tables full of Trump/MAGA merch for sale. They’d sit out there all day, every day until after sundown trying to sell that crap. Idk if they did. I never stopped, of course. I never saw anyone who looked to be shopping there either. Anyway, THIS YEAR - There was NO MAGA Merch Popup Shop on that corner or any other corners within a 10 mile radius!!! In addition, I am seeing much, much less Trump-branded crap in general throughout the Fort Worth/MidCities/Grapevine areas. Yayyyy!!! 🎉
Went to have BBQ with friends tonight. Saw a 9 year old with a MAGA hat, the local news has been full of MAGA hate crap since Walz was announced yesterday, BUT there are waaaaaaay more Democrats here than they like to think there are. The problem is with all the gerrymandering they are doing to try to keep control. My own city just got more influence over Houston for no reason other than it's more conservative to try to keep Houston from being blue. Also the laws they are passing for all the regions are insane and designed to keep Democrats from being able to win at all.
Bucks co. pa here.. there used to be so many drumpf flags and signs all over lawns and flag poles!! And over the last year (esp the last 3 months), there is barely any left. Now you'll see 1-2 houses here and there... When there used to be signs and flags no matter where you went. Now Harris signs are popping up.. it's so refreshing #WeWontGoBack! 💙🌊💙🌊💙

i may not agree with all of biden’s policies and decisions, but by god did he make a genius move in handing the torch to harris. i haven’t been this hopeful since i was a kid.
Though I was genuinely sad about Biden stepping down, I also feel like the decision to leave the candidacy to Kamala Harris was a brilliant move. Biden has been an extraordinary leader, and he has accomplished so much, even though he inherited a dumpster fire of an Oval Office and had to work twice as hard to repair the damage done by Trump. Not only did he do that, he propelled the country into a significantly better position in many ways. His legacy will be remembered as the heroic, humble, selfless leader who brought healing to our broken nation. When he first took office, I was unsure about VP Harris. She didn’t project a strong stance on any particular issue and I didn’t see that as a strong trait. But when she found her voice and stood up for the issues she was passionate about, her authentic presence was evident. The fact that she’s a black/Indian woman who has experience in government as a politician and a prosecutor and has loudly spoken out against abortion bans, discrimination of any kind, and spoke honestly and truthfully about the real issues facing America, I saw just how great of a leader she had been and will be as president. Waltz, as a flannel wearing, gun toting, deer hunting, football coaching, military veteran who has served with honor in the military and as a public servant, he will compliment her perfectly. Waltz will reach those undecided voters in middle America who are not comfortable with the extreme authoritarian style of Trump. I’m excited about her campaign and am hopeful for her chances of being elected! HARRIS/WALTZ 2024!

I cried for 2 days (still get choked up) when President Biden decided to step down. He’s been the most accomplished President in my 72 years, much of it bipartisan. He deserved a 2nd term, and if only he’d run in 2016, that could’ve happened. Tragically he’s too old to campaign now, though I believe he could’ve still functioned as President, with lots of backup. He’s such an honorable, kind, warm, and compassionate man, yet also strong, decisive, and experienced - fantastic mix of qualities in a President. I met Joe in 2008, when I was working for the Obama campaign, and I was very impressed and moved by his warmth and big heart, not to mention his intelligence, love of country, and love of people. He was impossible not to like, which made him a very effective deal-maker. I’m hoping there will be statues of him, space stations named after him, and that history reveres him for not only his amazing accomplishments, but also his selfless patriotism. He’s probably feeling pretty sad right now (which breaks my heart), yet it’s bittersweet to see his V.P. so strong and confident, handily taking down the big bad bully! Time waits for no one, not even a great President. Now it’s time to carry on with fresh, new leaders! Go go go, Kamala and The Coach! 💙🩵🇺🇸🩵💙🌈🩵💙

Hi BTC! I absolutely agree with you when you say that Tim Walz wasn't using a teleprompter. He says what he says and means what he means. I love his variations on his original speech in Philly. And I also, without a doubt, love our next POTUS' variations on her first speech. Peace!
Tim Walz is a legend. There is no way he was using a teleprompter for 75% of that speech. You can see how his eye contact constantly and fully shifted throughout that crowd as he spoke and how much emotion flowed into that speech. He clearly was not looking at a teleprompter. Most if not all of that sounded unprepared. If he had something written I am certain over half of it fell to the way side. That was amazing.
These rallies are going well but nothing was quite like the Pennsylvania rally yesterday. That was a freaking hype show and felt like a sporting event or a concert more than a rally!

There were pro-Palestinian hecklers chanting “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide, we won’t vote for genocide.” While my heart goes out to the civilians in Gaza and I have a serious problem with Israel’s Netanyahu government, in a very serious way, I wish these people would realize, if Trump gets back in he’ll just carpet bomb all of Gaza and then brag about “ending the war.” I can see that soulless orange face gloating “No more Palestinians, no more problem!!” Biden is trying to keep civilians on both sides safe, to see hostages returned, and to lessen loss of life. I wish he’d been more aggressive on the issue, but both he and Harris will try to save lives.

Though I was genuinely sad about Biden stepping down, I also feel like the decision to leave the candidacy to Kamala Harris was a brilliant move. Biden has been an extraordinary leader, and he has accomplished so much, even though he inherited a dumpster fire of an Oval Office and had to work twice as hard to repair the damage done by Trump. Not only did he do that, he propelled the country into a significantly better position in many ways. His legacy will be remembered as the heroic, humble, selfless leader who brought healing to our broken nation.
When he first took office, I was unsure about VP Harris. She didn’t project a strong stance on any particular issue and I didn’t see that as a strong trait. But when she found her voice and stood up for the issues she was passionate about, her authentic presence was evident. The fact that she’s a black/Indian woman who has experience in government as a politician and a prosecutor and has loudly spoken out against abortion bans, discrimination of any kind, and spoke honestly and truthfully about the real issues facing America, I saw just how great of a leader she had been and will be as president. Waltz, as a flannel wearing, gun toting, deer hunting, football coaching, military veteran who has served with honor in the military and as a public servant, he will compliment her perfectly. Waltz will reach those undecided voters in middle America who are not comfortable with the extreme authoritarian style of Trump. I’m excited about her campaign and am hopeful for her chances of being elected! HARRIS/WALTZ 2024!

I cried for 2 days (still get choked up) when President Biden decided to step down. He’s been the most accomplished President in my 72 years, much of it bipartisan. He deserved a 2nd term, and if only he’d run in 2016, that could’ve happened. Tragically he’s too old to campaign now, though I believe he could’ve still functioned as President, with lots of backup. He’s such an honorable, kind, warm, and compassionate man, yet also strong, decisive, and experienced - fantastic mix of qualities in a President. I met Joe in 2008, when I was working for the Obama campaign, and I was very impressed and moved by his warmth and big heart, not to mention his intelligence, love of country, and love of people. He was impossible not to like, which made him a very effective deal-maker.
I’m hoping there will be statues of him, space stations named after him, and that history reveres him for not only his amazing accomplishments, but also his selfless patriotism. He’s probably feeling pretty sad right now (which breaks my heart), yet it’s bittersweet to see his V.P. so strong and confident, handily taking down the big bad bully! Time waits for no one, not even a great President.

Tim Walz is a legend. There is no way he was using a teleprompter for 75% of that speech. You can see how his eye contact constantly and fully shifted throughout that crowd as he spoke and how much emotion flowed into that speech. He clearly was not looking at a teleprompter. Most if not all of that sounded unprepared. If he had something written I am certain over half of it fell to the way side. That was amazing.

There were pro-Palestinian hecklers chanting “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide, we won’t vote for genocide.” While my heart goes out to the civilians in Gaza and I have a serious problem with Israel’s Netanyahu government, in a very serious way, I wish these people would realize, if Trump gets back in he’ll just carpet bomb all of Gaza and then brag about “ending the war.” I can see that soulless orange face gloating “No more Palestinians, no more problem!!” Biden is trying to keep civilians on both sides safe, to see hostages returned, and to lessen loss of life. I wish he’d been more aggressive on the issue, but both he and Harris will try to save lives.
