Very substantial questions. Very factually and informatively answered. Thanks to interviewer and to Mr. Prokes! BTW. Slight czech accent ... a compatriot? (zdravím z Finska do Ameriky!) :)

Lots of discussion on what's best for kids and what the pros use. Not much discussion that would help the avg. 4.0 recreational player. For example, does Roman have a multifilament string that he most highly recommends?

    Hello ROMAN / GABE,
what is the recommendation for under 10 small girls?
    Thank you!

+My Videos Which multi-filament string and tension?

I wouldn't suggest a multifilament string for young players. Prince Original Synthetic Gut at the lowest tension would be fine.

+Hyper Horse Hi, which other brands are OK? Tell me more names please.

NO. It doesn't matter. They are pretty much almost all the same.
Just stay away from ordinary cheap solid core nylon strings. They don't keep the small amount of elasticity they have to begin with for very long and when they do, they vibrate a lot.

+Hyper Horse Hello, multi-filament is the most similar to Natural Gut. The one you propose is a mixture between Mono and multi filament. Please explain.

HOW LOW IN TENSION CAN YOU GO ON A MULTIPHILAMENT STRING ON A 100s /18X20 RACQUET, AND STILL BE PLAYABLE? I KNOW YOU CAN GO VERY LOW ON POLYS, BUT WHAT ABOUT MULTIS?

    • @WaltKurtz68

A stringer once told me that with multifilament one should ideally not go below 20 kgs (44 lbs) as a rule of thumb.
Apparently the stringbed gets a bit mushy and control starts to suffer, if you go lower than 20 kgs.

Ive been trying to tell parents and players in my area this advice for years to no avail. They all go to the local sports store who dont do this. They where stringing Poly for kids at 60Lbs till about 3 years ago when the kids where told by Tim Henman not to have it done that high. Go figure.
