Fun fact..The story behind where the The Dude gets his money is he inherited a chunk of the royalties from his uncle who invented The Rubix Cube lmao. According to Joel and Ethan. Since it isn't in the film its not cannon but great back story. The fact that he got his money from an object that revolves around problem solving but the Dude is stumbling through the problem solving thr mystery of how kidnapped Bunny is beyond ironic and poetic

What’s the difference between this and Absurdism?
I dunno. It's a very complex case - there's a lot of ins and outs and what-have-yous.
As a noob to Absurdism, I shouldn't say too much. I think you can maybe draw a Venn diagram with a big overlap. It's been stated a bunch of times that the Dudeist way isn't really new, and it's gone by many names before, to varying degrees.
Absurdism seems to be pretty focused on a specific existential dilemma about meaning vs meaninglessness. Dudeism has a wider lens, and abiding is much more generic than the absurdist approach to accepting that one existential conundrum. Acceptance is in ways pretty similar to abiding... but it doesn't seem to "take it easy, man."
But that is, like... just my opinion, man.
