- Currently working on a different way to record the audio. Perhaps pulling out the mic out of the cam and extending the cable will do the trick. Right now it's either bad audio and good perspective or vice versa.

the first 30 seconds are the best since you can hear the sound of that amazing engine! After that it's all wind noise and the occasional engine growl... but overall good video, I've just ordered a Classic... can't wait to get it
Great video, sound is far better than what I manage. I think I will have to take a R1200R out for a test ride this summer.
well these are very different bikes if it was just about fun i'd say street triple. you have a lot of power even at low rpm i love the aggressive sound of the triple and the handling is superb. the bmw on the other hand it much more comfortable to ride with very relaxing seat position, much more useful for long rides especially with baggage or pillion, also love the boxer sound and the engine concept and the ESA 2 suspension. they are both incredibly awesome in their respective caregory.

I just watched this this morning (teasing myself while fighting an intense interest in this bike) and was curious about the exhaust question myself. It sound very nice on the video, surprisingly throaty. Would you say that this sound is more or less what you hear in your helmet? I prefer stock exhausts - if they sound good as well, so much the better.

Sweet bike and a good movie. Dont be overly critical about your effort, this is a good one, there are some awefull movies out there. this isn't one of them. :)

yeah unfortunately i couldn't get past it untill almost the end of the video i'm not willing take that risk on a testride....

The microphone on the camera is not so good so it sounds sharper and more throaty. What you hear in your helmet is a rich full sound with more bass. Awesome sound for a stock exhaust!
The camera has a very good view point. Is it chest mounted?
@GenproEnterprises I ride in the lower gears on somewhat twisty roads for engine braking. Consider also it's shady and a brand new bike. that's my take.

There would have been 34 possibilities to overtake in the 4 min behind the car!! a Transalp would have had a bad time- but the bmw could have done it in 4th gear instead of 2nd!? Nevermind- nice ride for the first testride

Nice Move This situation about 80km/h narrow tight road corner . maybe it is better ride on HD XL883R than on R1200R .sound vibration ability of control on
corner.and i want this bike .because .
XL883R can not run over 140km/h on high way.next chance I buy this one for sure.
Wow, you really do like 3rd gear. don't you. Only joking, I have the same bike but I change gear a lot more often. Your exhaust sounds louder than mine though. Is it an aftermarket system.

I was thinking the same, 2ond and 3 gear all the time. Why, is there no torque in the bike. It´s not only you, everybody that tests bikes does the same.
@Toeffblog aber was will ich damit auf der strecke da ? kann ich auch ne schlaftablette nehmen und mich aufs sofa legen. benzin sparen tu ich doch net wenn ich ne runde zum spass drehe :D

besorg dir ein externes mikrophon und stecke es in einen rucksack, dadurch kannst du die störenden windgeräusche eliminieren und es bleibt nur noch der satte ansaugsound übrig :)
