      Hi Pail. I got the 14 1-2 inch rootless cuttings mentioned earlier and because they looked totally dormant I put them all into one 8 inch terracotta pot and to my surprise, within days they looked so healthy. After 20 days they are all firm in the medium so clearly have roots. Would you leave them in there until spring and head chop them then or transplant them into individual pots now? It's autumn here in UK growing indoors with no grow light. Mostly aeoniums with 4 non aeonium cuttings too.

    I love Aeoniums, too - and live in Southern Califiornia near the beach. Yesterday I found one I don't have on clearance at Lowe's so had to bring it home, along with a couple of small-"flowering" ones on sale at Home Depot. I love the black ones and want to start some cuttings and hope to also encourage more "flowers" on the stem. I have quite a few sunburst and have never seen them flower. I grow all of mine in large containers, and if the full sun in front of my house gets to be too much for any I can shift them around as there are plants on both sides of the house and in the backyard.

    The Dinner Plate was probably one of my first Aeoniums, and they do get huge! I love the way they grow more florets without bare stems. Early on I planted one in the g ground and quickly changed my mind.

    Great tour and wonderful collection. I like sunburst too. Mine were suffering in 10a zone full sun so I moved them to morning sun. They are loving their new location. Kiwis turn yellow in winter, bright and cheerful as any flower.

      Good idea. It would be a very long one because I grow over 1,000 plants. Name a few types of plants or succulents you want to see and I'll do a tour of them.

    Hello! You’ve got beautiful, gorgeous aeonium!!! Thank you very much for sharing. I have a question. I’ve got this “AEONIUM URBICUM, SAUCER PLANT “ but it’s red. Ur’s is green. Why is that? Thank you very much and you have a beautiful blessed day and stay safe and healthy 🙏

    • @WhatPlantisthatPaul
      @WhatPlantisthatPaul  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks for the kind words. I think there are many hybrids and variations in the variety. I've also noticed that some are also mislabeled. You can send me so pictures and I can try to help. Also, sunlight and stress cause a lot of color variation. If you like the green color, give them less direct sunlight.

    When is the best time to plant Aeonium into the ground soil? I plan to plant them in my front yard close to the sidewalk.

    • @WhatPlantisthatPaul
      @WhatPlantisthatPaul  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I recommend when they are not dormant. If so, water them very little when dormant or they will rot.

    • @WhatPlantisthatPaul

    How do you transplant a crested aeonium sunburst?

    • @WhatPlantisthatPaul
      @WhatPlantisthatPaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not too hard, keep them from rotting, support them while they root, and try not to do much until they come out of dormancy.
