    I had forgotten about the chamois. After you mentioned it, I realized that I need to add a chamois to add to my materials box.
    Thanks for providing this material list👍🏽

    Great video. Now I have a far clearer understanding of the different types of charcoal and how to work with it. I love watching your process for figures. Not sure if it's too much to ask for a tutorial on how to build the idea for a figure sketch. I don't necessarily mean the details in the latter stages but I mean the beginning. That's what fascinates me the most. Anyway, all your efforts are much appreciated and I'm learning a lot from you.

    Great lesson Zimou Tan, very informative! One thing I am missing though: brushes. I use them all the time in my drawings, and especially in charcoal drawing I think they are a valuable tool. Do you use brushes as well?

    • @ZimouTan
      @ZimouTan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, yes, maybe I can conduct anyone for brushes.

    For Charcoal almost all paper stumps will work the same. However, on Graphite drawing I'd suggest to choose a good quality brand with the best I've tried so far, being the Conte A Paris paper stumps (go with the big one, because they only make small sizes) Also, you have to prepare the paper stump, by turning the tip on a piece of low grit sandpaper (around 300grith to 400grit will be fine) Do the same, when it gets very dirty and you need a clean tip, for example when you want to avoid adding more graphite on your drawings. If you leave it dirty, you can also use it as a drawing tool!! I'm sure, there are more to discover about paper stumps and the best way for that to happen , is by using them! Mistakes, are the only way to get better! So, keep drawing and enjoy!!!

    Hi love your videos...I live in UK what pencil charcoal drawing sets can you recommend and who supplies ? Is it better to buy individually I’m on a very tight budget? Also I’m interested to know what medium you prefer to paint in and any preferred art tools and supplies that you use

    • @ZimouTan
      @ZimouTan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On such regards, I can compose a video for it, it will take some time before I can post this video. If you can get a set would be better, but individually is also okay.
