I saw Zakharova and Fillin in this when the Bolshoi toured the US in 2007, and absolutely loved this production.

Many of the lifts akin to ice skating rather than ballet, choreography lost the simpleness of Cinderella and her prince charming, bringing the piece closer to a goofy-style love pas de deux in a park.

I don't understand why people have to twist a classic fairytale and make it into some kind of weird nightmare. this pas de duex is fine and Sveta and Fillin are beautiful but the rest of the ballet is really weird. people should follow Ashton's example and stick to the fairytale.

the dancing is gorgeous but her partner is too short for her! He looks like he's having trouble with the lifts.
