We get huge CGS's at our place on the East Cape of BCS. Every adult I've encountered has been very docile and chill, while the youngsters can be a little more testy.
Jz, one can tell that you are loved !!!! Oh, such a delightful snake, and she is so comfortable with you. Thank you again for the important information about the proper temperature that is safe for them, and choices of food. Hopefully you will hear from the shop in Calgary... perhaps some viewers can send out a wee note, aye? Lovely snake and excellent presentation. Thank you. Best, S.
Cool man ,,, " what is ya tiktok page ,,, " ,,, well educated vid ,,, i did enjoy ,, yes i have calmed down a mean gopher snake in my time ,,, it was smaller than the one in your vid. I see that they are a more cooler climate snake when it comes to care of heating ,,,, cool.
Great video. You should look into the other mexican pituophis species, P. deppei (deppei & jani) and P. lineaticollis. The P. deppei are highly variable with some having almost as much red as P. vertebralis, and P lineaticollis are big and pretty, among my favorites. Similar temps and care as P. vertebralis.
Oh believe me I want to, but this year got away from me on new acquisitions, so I need to dial it back and get the missing pairs for the ones I already have before getting more but I think Jani will be the first I look for
I keep Vertebralis, Bimaris, Deppei deppei & Deppei jani but I've never been able to find P lineaticollis. Do you know anyone currently working with them?
I've never even heard of these before. What beautiful little creatures.
I have a Cape gopher as well. She’s actually the mother of four and my God is she fun! Had her for nearly 20+ years
Thanks. I really enjoy seeing and learning about your Pituophis. Very cool snake.
Very beautiful pattern
Ugh dream snake. The deep red ones are so pretty
We just had one at our ranch in E Cape. More on the yellow side, but up to 5 feet

@@brakesforsnakes757 I do, though not in the USA currently, and I am not aware of any available ones for the moment, they get snatched quickly
Snakes are scary so I try to get over it ❤️
Humans are scarier ;-)
Do they have keeled scales like the Bulls and Pines?
Yes but not quite as distinct
