"Link, who is now on his teenage years is going on a mission, to wake up the first princess Zelda from her eternal slumber..." This is The Legend of Zelda: Triforce '88! Based on the NES game, "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" by Shigeru Miyamoto. Coming this Summer only on NBC.
Link’s first time in detention, then he meets a gang called the triforce club, who soon befriend him and make him an honorary member. Together, they’ll rule the school and defeat that grouchy hothead principal Gannon.
My favorite comment off-site about this song is that it sounds like the credits theme to an 80’s Zelda adaptation with creature effects by Jim Henson and Brian Froud with the kid that played Atreyu as Link. So, awesome, pretty much. :)
Man this just takes me back to my childhood. I miss the 80s, best era for everything to be honest. I wrote a whole thing before this and it got erased. It was all heartfelt but i'll try again. My childhood consisted of being out in the streets playing with neighbors, hide and seek, sparring, tree house, tags, etc. 2 hours of NES at most. This title theme was one that stuck along with the original Zelda game and such. You did an amazing job in bringing it in a modern 80s synthwave rendition. Makes me wish I could go back in time and be a kid again and stay stuck in the 80s. Awesome era, it was a mixture of everything.
@@Jack_Jack7890 yeah, great times. The start of many things. No one stuck on a phone screen. No one to bother you while you're out playing. You should watch Stranger Things. That show depicts the 80s pretty well, of course with a paranormal/scifi storyline. Stay up young buck.
See this is why I would really love to see a Zelda anime in the style of 80's sword and sorcery, (Berserk or He-Man, with a lot of Conan the Barbarian influence) Imagine this song playing when link rides into the sunset with Zelda at the end of the movie.
I literally listened to this and couldn’t help but imagine a training montage of me doing my favorite fitness activities (jogging, biking, and playing Dance Dance Revolution). Defo filing this under “workout jams” and throwing this on my headphones next time I work out.
Greetings you fabulous Earthlings and Happy Friday!! 👋👽I bring Covid-19 free thin crust pizza to all you friendly Earthlings 🍕Don't mind me, just cruising by:::::::::::::::::🛸
Stranger things has been remixed since it's in the style of retrowave/synthwave/vaporware. It's the melody, chords and use of synthisizers which define the genre. Think of the background themes in blade runner.
I don't think I've ever heard the Zelda II title theme - this track sits perfectly well without knowing the original. It stands on its own. Really nice.
I say keep it this way, with some artistic style that would fit Zelda 2 remake. Its the only one that is a 2D side scroller, with RPG elements like gaining XP and such. Add some new mechanics to make it fresh and for every palace have the same track but remixed. Like palace 1 music is pretty simple remake of the original but as you go to palace 2, 3, 4 and so on, each adds to that same song, making it more intense. Giving you the impression that you are nearing the end.
No way. The gameply of Zelda 2 was what made it so fun and memorable. Do not change the gameplay! I want another sidescrolling Zelda game. Nothing quite has combat as fun as that. And I personally think Zelda 2 combat is way better than OoT. OoT was just basically waiting for the enemy to put down their shield, and then mashing the attack button, then repeat.
So something odd I learned about my last job--the dude who owns the store, his last name is Gannon, with two Ns. I kinda want to just show up at some point with my Link hoodie on a day he might show up and if he gets annoyed I just go 'well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse ME, Princess'
The dream memory idealistic quinessential 80s experience was amazing. The reality of it had the same amount of problems as today. Remember the past, don't worship it.
Link's high school days were tough
XD
Theres a Jock slow clap scene in here somewhere
Reminds me of mine
YOU ARE HYLIAN
AND A REAL HERO
A real hylian bean
immediately where my mind went when i heard this lmfao
This is criminally underwatched.
Been on my playlist for so long and *it's never a skip.*
Thank you to the OG version, the game itself, and to you, for this incredible reimagining.
THIS CERTAINLY DESERVES MORE VIEWS
IT'S FUCKING AMAZING
THIS CHANNEL NEEDS MORE SUBS
@@ayoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Definitely!
Channel needs subs and Zelda 2 needs more love.
Subbed and may or may not have had a tear or two... but really
7 years later and this comment aged like fine wine.
Still a retrowave banger
Zelda II: Link's Synthwave Adventure.
Yup, exactly what I hoped to find, perhaps even better!
You got the touch!
You got the Triforce of Power!
YEAH!
Link opens the Triforce of Leadership, saving Hyrule.
“This is the end of the road, Gannon!”
“Right in the eye of the song of storms!”

Just had to listen for the 1st 45 seconds and I was sold. 80s was the best era of music, the nostalgia
Totally rad. I love the 80's.

Nice
The names of the members of the Triforce Club?
Revali, Daruk, Mipha, and Urbosa.
Gaming Football No.
Nice Ganon misspelling reference
Principal Ganon: Hand over the Triforce Buster. You just bought yourself another Saturday in detention.

Yes!
This could perfectly fit in a Tangerine Dream album. Sounds very nice!
It could!

Chills...you said it. The nostalgia and memories are so beautiful.
Wish I could’ve grown up in the 80s 2000s kid struggle 😔✌️

This is magnificent. My God this is amazing.
I'm going to go on an adventure.
I remember getting this game for Christmas of 92
It seems that music from my childhood is awesome. See retro synth makes these games sound awesome.
This is so good, even Dodongo likes a smoke with it
i saw my baby cryin hard as babe could cry
haha this made me laf
This encapsulates everything it's supposed to encapsulate. That makes me happy.
Who the feck downvotes a masterpiece like this?!?!
I just put this on 1.25 speed and on loop... Great music 🙂
And somehow, after Death Mountain...link knew things would work out in the end.
Triforce '88
I get such nostalgia and a feeling of warmth and love when listning to this tune

@Sir Universal yeah they did ha ha, but that's not really the kinda thing I'm thinking of.
Get out of my head you beautiful person.
no, please not a damn anime.
Listening to this with headphones on along with reading this comment has brought a tear to my eye!
SPOOKY BOI I didn't know I wanted this until you put it in my head.
My soul says: thank you very much!
This is amazing. Nostalgic for reminding us of Zelda 2, and nostalgic for reminding us of the world when we first played Zelda 2. Beautifully done.
OMG! THIS ART IS BEAUTYFULL!
This is Gold
EXCELENT REMIX!

I am so impressed. I totally wish Nintendo would have made more games in a Retrowave/80s style.
A Zelda movie needs to be done just to have this as end credits theme
The hero, lets fight with the enemies, all in name of ZELDA, HERO!
Damn, who dis this cool art?
sounds like the 80's
Same energy as The Never Ending Story
Goosebumps
Emocionante
Am I The only one who thinks that Zelda 2 needs a Remake? Imagine playing Zelda 2 with TLOZ OoT gameplay.
Brandon Garza Aranda Fittingly enough, OoT was originally going to be a 3D AoL remake.
The remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus is called, "Samus Returns", so the Zelda 2 remake should be called, Link's Adventure".
Day one purchase!
