I met Zane in NJ about 5 years ago at a fundraising event for the Best Day Foundation. Really wonderful guy, and he turned me on to the Starboard Hypernut. I am still riding that board today. Good luck with your recovery, Zane, and I hope you are back in the water soon!😊

This also lends to the subject of big wave surfers being towed into the perfect spot of a wave by a jet ski. Somehow, they think this is OK to use gasoline powered engines to help them catch a wave. It's kind of like taking a helicopter ride most of the way up Mount Everest, and then walking the last hundred feet for your selfie.

Facts. Wow I can surf this 100 ft wave. But can you really? Without a jetski and inflation and a massive safety crew all ready to whip in and collect you at any point. And you don't even have to paddle. Or deal with the consequences of wiping out, or not making a section. Not exactly testing the limits of human capacity is it!? Any schmuck can buy a jetski and a vest and hit big wave spots now. Being a waterman aint what it used to be.
