Au5 honestly watching stuff like this makes me want to jump back on Ableton and pick up where I left off so many years ago. Thank you for doing this bro.
You compliment Jeff so well. His music is awesome, but when you come in and add your god like synths and sounds you make a song sound so perfect and complete.
These demos sound 600 times better than my work, but you can still hear the imperfections and "flatness" or basic sounds and arrangement that they all had before all the pro-level mixing and mastering. I guess it feels good that even gods like Au5 and Seven Lions start things that don't always sound perfect and need to refine and work on sounds to get a track sounding ready. Also that drop variation at 5:42 is CRAZY
watching this as an aspiring producer makes me appreciate the song on a whole new level 😍 the first time i listened to the song was amazing, and after watching this, the song is just euphoric😇 thanks for this vid
I just ran the vst installer from the IL website and made sure the 64 bit vst is installed into the same folder your other plugins are that ableton is directed to. Seemed to just work somehow!
@@au5music Ah can't believe I didn't think of that! I used FL before switching to ableton so didnt clock that id have to reinstall the plugins haha. Cheers Austin!
Definitely would love to see a breakdown by Crystal Skies on what they did too!!
Ebraheem Azhar I AGREE
yes to this
Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected such a godsend this morning
i never expected crsytal skies to do that trance drop. damn
Check out Sojourn and On My Own
Lol in my opinion first au5 melodic drop idea was the best
i agree 100%
Also more congruent with my tastes
They could probably agree with Jeff for some VIP mix release
Agreed, this first drop is really cool too imo
damnnnn that first version of thte drop is so sick, will it ever be released as a vip maybe?
This is literally one of the sickest songs EVER! bendddddddittttttt

That's exactly what I thought
Hope that you can release a single on Ophelia
Also hope that the duration was way more longer
Au5 - The Paper Owl
this is so awesome, hope we get Crystal Skies' session too 🙏
It's insane that their version of sketching out a drop is still an insane drop by itself
I would love to see more videos like this
It literally stuck in my head
This was truly a masterpiece
It’s so cool to hear the story of the production timeline. Thanks for uploading!

Jeff mentioned that he uses FL studio. Is it hard to collaborate when you use different DAWs?
not really, like you saw, jeff send him the stems

I love this but I'm not sure how long it would take for me to ever get at this level of production, this is so crazy...
