    I don't think Anne Archer gets enough credit, Glen Close and Anne Archer with Michael made this film, timeless and unforgettable .. a great film

      Well, she got an Oscar nomination, sooo…. Obviously Close did. Douglas would have had it not been the same year. I still can’t believe that Close lost. Superb performance.

      @@maillad Agreed as well. She said more with her eyes alone in that movie than any other actress I’ve ever seen. That loss was a real slap in the face from the Academy. 0/8. 😝

    Married men didn't mess around for a long time after this film was made. Play Misty for me, was the first real fatal attraction, though. With Clint Eastwood. It was just as frightening... No man is worth going that nuts for.

      Don't get me wrong, Alex and Evelyn are both frightening but Evelyn to me was much scarier....Jessica Walter was fantastic in that role and Glenn Close was too!!!!

      Actually 'POSESSED' in 1947 with Joan Crawford and Van Heflen was the first 'FATALATTRACTION' and Joan was Alex except her name was Louise Howell.

    I notice that Michael Douglas often plays against strong female characters like in 'Disclosure' with Demi Moore. Don Sutherland as Bob Garvin is quite the puppetmaster in that movie

    I always felt they made a mistake with this scene. Alex says they met a few weeks ago and yet she's already told him she's pregnant

    Why would any man have an affair with a woman who he barley even knows and plays games and fucks with her head and pretends that he is in love? I know ... women do it too play with men's emotions and have sex and cast them aside. This woman didn't let this man get away with it or even call on it. Bad things happen to people in realtionship when it comes to something like this. She messed up that guys' life so bad and he wasn't innocent in all of this he made a bad mistake and it bit him in the ass big time. We need more women like Alex but we have alot of women like that out there who just as crazy as Alex is look at Lorena Bobbit. Give that woman a metal.

    • @paulvoorhies8821

      She’s a victim of her mental illness, borderline personality disorder.

    • @carriefawcett9990
      @carriefawcett9990 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe INITIALLY she was a victim 🤔 although that's a stretch because she KNEW the situation, she KNEW he was married and he made it very clear from the start that it wasn't going to be anything but a short fling.
      So , definitely not a victim except that he used her like a she was an unpaid prostitute. As a single woman, I'm always careful of this. Men, both married and single who just want to fuck with no commitment. I tell them, go and get a prostitute, you won't be USING me. As a result I stayed celibate for 7.5 years.

  • @mariaellis2882
    @mariaellis2882 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if a man acts nuts and psychotic like Glen did in this movie, is he a victim?

    • @paulvoorhies8821
      @paulvoorhies8821 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the reason. I think what Close meant is that she’s a victim of her mental illness, borderline personality disorder. The trouble with that though is that a lot of people kill because they have antisocial personality disorder (are sociopaths). It’s clearly a lot harder to look at them as victims, even though, if we apply the same standard, they are. See how quickly things become tricky in Psychology mighty fast?
