You guys had every right to discuss this issue and the fact that they tried to get you to remove your content to get a refund unbelievable! I thank you for your honesty. You guys handled this with class.
You two make me smile....As a retired toilet salesman (the flush kind) I know how difficult explaining function is. You did great with a side of humor.
Love that you two are so honest with your followers. It’s so important to have content creators that are willing to do this. That’s a huge amount of money for a product that should work. It’s unfortunate that Cinderella wasn’t even willing to refund half of the cost. Keep up the great content! WE LOVE YOU!
Just wanna tell you ladies again how much I am proud of you and you should be proud of yourselves. I know in the younger years in our lives was a struggle and is a struggle. However, you meeting each other and going on this life adventure has been a phenomenal chapter in both of your lives, as I told my daughter and her partner who is 30 and they just moved to Alaska from California I am so happy for them that they are both on the same wavelength. They both communicate there’s always gonna be positive and negative, but at least the honesty and the integrity of both of you and your partnership is a beautiful thing to watch❤😊
So sorry you had to go through this terrible experience with your toilet! We don't realize how much we take for granted going to the bathroom. Thank goodness you got a new toilet that works and that you got a refund on the defective unit. Hopefully all is good now. Looking forward to seeing you next week 💛
So glad you shred this. That toilet looked so awesome but if a product has basically zero customer service then I wouldn’t want it! Good for you for moving on! What a ‘waste’. Too punny😂

I live in a tiny house, on wheels, and have the Separett Tiny. I love it. There is some maintenance of course but you get used to it. My builder installed it for me so I didn’t have to go through that. In the 6 months I have had it I have had no problems at all!
What a stressful experience you two had. But, your humor in discussing the issue, along with an in-depth analysis was outstanding. Great work on solving the issue. ❤
So happy for y’all to have a fully functioning bathroom 🥳 so proud of all ur hardwork. Don’t forget to insulate wrap your pipes under the house. I noticed that they are all exposed. Thats important especially with how cold it gets there.
Thanks for the update on your experience with the Cinderella toilet. I had considered buying one for a project but not any longer, your experience with Customer Service was bad enough but the number of on-going process steps. I think when it comes to toilets the thought that you would need to contact Customer Service is just weird to me. Another helpful & informative video!
Thank you so very much for the full account. What a poopy experience!!! Aside from the not working part, the high energy requirements and the high maintence requirements strikes this type of toilet off our possibilities list. (We are already older.) All the websites, brochures, and sales people only talk about how easy and clean incinerating toilets are. Not! I'm so sorry you had to go through that and I hope you have nothing but good experiences with the new toilet. Big hugs to all of you.
If you have a vent system for odors and drying, you need to provide air for the vent. The vent system will suck out heat in the winter and cooling in the summer. Make up air is a must.
Oh my goodness! 😱 As a customer service manager (now retired), I cannot imagine treating my customers the way you were treated!! And then to make some kind of hooey demand that you not talk about your experience? Just. ::sputters indignantly:: Wow. No bueno, Cinderella. I applaud your diplomacy, actually. Considering how badly the company’s failures impacted you, you could have gone way harder on them. Classy move, m’dears, taking the high road. 💕 So glad you are all sorted now! ☺️🙌❤️
Good afternoon ladies. Some 30 years ago i had researched the incinerator toilet products and had concluded that they had some shortcomings, so i passed on that style. When you came up with the idea of installing one i would have recommended that you change your minds had i been able to do so . Water under the bridge now i know. I hope that you have better luck with this new one. There is one more thing that you need to do up in the attic to prevent problems in the colder part of the year if you will be here at the cabin during the winter . The plastic vent pipe needs insulated to prevent the moisture from condensing and running back down into the toilet. This only happens where a pipe passes through a cold zone, like the attic. You could wrap pipe insulation around the pipe if you have clearance to do so An other way woukd be to use 1 in pink foam board to make a 3 sided cover over the pipe where it lays on the floor. Use red tuck tape to fasten the pink foam together. Easy to do. And cheap. Have a nice day. Tom in the Maritimes at the NB-NS border.
Thank you for being transparent about what happened with the incinerator toilet. That company sounds really petty. I would not have been able to be nearly as patient or kind as the two of you were.
Wow, Thankyou for being honest girls, we were actually reading reviews on Reddit and so many said either Dont buy or majority having same problems youve had! Hearing about them saying take down your video and you having so many problems with their customer service and mixed messages, it will also be a NO from us! I admire your honesty letting us know your own experiences (Obviously its different for everyone, whos purchased) But the customer care service and attitude towards the customer get a huge thumbs DOWN from me! Happy peeing n pooping in your new loo for a fraction of the cost!☺xxxx
Thank you so much for sharing your ordeal. As I said in response to your first video on your incinerator toilet, I have lived off-grid for 40+ years and for the first 30 years, I was involved with the design, installation (or at least the use of), several different types of alternative toilets. I wondered how that toilet was doing. Even if the company offered good customer service, I had a hard time imagining this type design being practical, low maintenance, much less economical enough for the vast percentage of off-grid folks I know. I was worried. . . though not for too long because I then reminded myself that you folks are smart and innovative enough to survive such an experiment. . . but so sorry you had to put up with that kind of service. The type toilet you installed in this video is the type design (a dry, separating toilet) that I most recommend. Yes, I agree that a dry, separating toilet is the best for off-grid and I hope it serves you well. I appreciated your review of this particular brand. Our dry, separating toilets are similar in design, though are one-of-a-kind, built-in place toilets. Ours uses solar heat and a 12vdc fan and only needs emptied once a year (through a slide-out drawer in the outside wall). Your toilet is portable, shippable, and has a couple of automated features that are nice (and intuitive). I look forward to hearing more in the future. Keep up the good work of inspiring so many folks!
I'm sorry that you 2 had issues with your toilet, but I'm so glad that you 2 were able to figure it out. I'm very proud of both of you 👏🏽👏🏽💪🏾💪🏾👍👍🏠🏡🚽🐾🐾🐾🐾☕️☕️☕️☕❤️❤️❤️️
Im glad the store issued you a refund. I am sure they are demanding one from the manufacturer or will refuse to carry their product(s). Fingers crossed on the new one! Congrats!
Y’all and the toilets….. Thanks for sharing ladies and I can’t wait to see you getting outside and working on the homestead! Sending Spring your way! ❤
Thank you for sharing your experience and sorry the other toilet didn’t work out for you two, always sucks when stuff never works, hope you have a great week and stay safe as well, love you pack!!❤❤👍👍
Great to see the honesty about the toilet and how you went about all of the attempts made to solve the problems. You should have not had to go through all of the hoops to solve the problems that did not happen. Hopefully the new system will work flawlessly. It truly is a bad situation when a company does not stand behind their products.
Jazz and Crystal. So sorry. For what you went through with that company. Thank you for always sharing the truth wishing you and yours the very best in life. Take care 🐶🐾
Based on all I have seen up until this point, even outside of this video, you were being generous to the Cinderella people. Applause for the cabin retailer who made things right!
Every time you have a struggle and overcome it, I feel your pride of accomplishment. Congratulations on getting your money back. Because of your YT channel, the company should have gone out of their way to make you happy. I saw some negative comments posted about incinerator toliets. I have had one from Incinolet for several years and had no issues with it. All it needs is a simple 20A 120V circuit and a vent. It only cost me $2.2k (USD) - (now $3k) therefore the ROI was good. All the best to you and keep moving forward.
Brava, Ladies for sharing your own truthful experience. ! I am so sorry you had that difficult experience, not only with the toilet itself, but with the company. Bad customer service is unacceptable, and asking you to remove content showing your truth, is awful. Hiding a problem ‘under the rug’ is not the way to run a business! Fix the toilet design instead! Again, I hold you two in high esteem. Being brave to share the complete story has only heightened my good opinion of you both. Thank you. 🙏. (Btw, I lived with a composting toilet for a few years. It is good to see the improvements that have been made. 👍)
You girls did a great job explaining your experience the the toilet. Give true reviewson your interaction with the company, and the product they sold you. Please keep all your information, and footage. As i have a feeling you may need it. When the company realizes how bad they messed up. Your followers are not shy about tell people what you have on your channel. Glad your new system seems to be working out for your family. 😊
@@amyfu2047 Thanks, I visited their website and I think you are correct! If I ever have to get something, I’m happy to throw them my business! That was a stand-up thing to do.
Thank you for sharing!! You girls handled this situation very well, but I'm sorry that yall had to experience all those problems. Hopefully this new toilet serves yall well! Much love to you all!!
We are currently investigating what toilet to buy for our off grid cabin, and initially thought on this incinerating brand. Thanks for sharing such an honest review!
What a nightmare... Thank you for sharing your experience; I've certainly learned quite a bit. For your new installation, are you planning on insulating your drain pipes under the cabin? I'd be a bit concerned about freezing temperatures, particularly at the drain trap and the transfer of cold air into the building via the pipe.
Absolutely amazing watching your progress with your home since the beginning. Your love and patience for one another is truly inspiring. Sending love, hugs and vibes of good health.
This is an actual horror story. Going by their instructions you would actually come out cheaper with installing a septic system if you count price of toilet, bags getting it steamed & having to pay the gas people weekly. I'm unsure of prices there where I am it's 10 to 50k for septic. I'm so happy you found a better for you system. Always stand up for yourself it sure sounds like a headache. Sending you both love ❤
When drilling in crystalline material, like your cement coating or plaster or fibercement, you need a carbide hole saw. Then switch back to a regular hole saw for wood and light metal. For tile you need a diamond saw. I have a separate tool box in my truck with over 40 hole saws so I always have the correct type and size. As previous comments have mentioned, high water table septic systems are available. When you start making plans for your new next door build pick one of the many septic options. Porter can make it happen for you which ever style you go with.
@@Vanwives When looking at septic systems, look at aerobic systems. These don't need a leach field and are suitable for places with high water table and rocky ground.
Love your channel! When you were excavating for your power and water why didn’t you dig for a septic tank? It’s the ultimate off grid system for waste….😊
I totally understand!! When I move to Fairbanks AK every spring for work (March-September/October) I rent a dry cabin and have to use an outhouse. It’s such a change after having a flush toilet at home to an outhouse. I have a mental adjustment every spring!
The poop doesn’t actually dry out but it’s neither here nor there. We don’t even bother with the bags anymore. They didn’t compost very well. Also, Canadian tire has a long wire handle brush, you’ll want to pick one up and trim the bristles so they fit in the pee tube and use it to clean occasionally. The urine builds up. But nothing to break down and you’ll be so much happier with this one!
Thank you for maintaining your integrity when they tried to manipulate you. In sorry for your experience but always grateful that you share your HONEST experience with your community. Yiu women are strong and amazing people. ❤!
Another excellent episode. Not only a perfect installation, but also an honest review on s very disappointing product and customer service experience! Great job!
Thank you. For your integrity. These details, I personally may or may not ever need. But they elucidate and validate a True Narrative. Which is engaging and uplifting to--everyone. 💗
Hi girls another top video full of content and well informed thanks for sharing you experience you had with your privacy toilet and how the were with you and for the fun as well as usual you put safety first stay safe out there with your dogs as for me had a bit of bad news as cancer has gone to stag 3 but I am still fighting it
This looks like a great toilet option. Much better than the ‘composting’ kind. Those are too small for regular use and don’t actually allow for the material to get composted, and then they’re a lot of work to clean out and change over the coir. This way you can fit more 💩 and dry it out/have no smell and then easily dispose of or compost in a proper humanure pile if you have land like you guys. Wish I’d had something like this in my van instead of the natures head.
The company is wrong. I come from the old school of thinking, I guess, the customer is always right, no matter what. You guys went above and beyond what most people do, so you guys deserve much better than they treated you. Anyway, so glad you let everyone know so other people will be aware of the possibilities of what can happen. Thanks ladies!
I have been a subscriber of yours for quite a while, and will continue as I truly enjoy and believe in your channel,, but I wanted to clear up one thing about the Cinderella toilet that you are not correct with. In your manual, it explains how to do a steam cleaning, which is simply after you empty your ash tray, you put tapwater back into the ashtray slide it in place and hit the flush button so it runs a burn cycle with just water.it steam cleans everything inside and keeps all the buildup from happening. If you weren’t doing this, it is actually you who. Caused this toilet to malfunction. The steam cleaning breaks down the buildup in the catalytic converter which allows full airflow and a proper burn, if you get build up it lowers airflow and does not burn properly . adding water is all that is needed and no disconnecting of the gas line is needed for steam cleaning. I understand these are different types of toilets but they function very well and that steam cleaning process is the key and the most important part of the maintenance. You only need to disconnect the gas once a year to do a full check up and clean inside. I enjoy watching every episode, as it is very informative and honest, but to cut down this company for the wrong reasons is incorrect. I hope you re-read your user manual and correct this video to your findings because a simple misunderstanding can be very detrimental to one party. And full disclosure, I do have one of these exact models behind my shop, and I am an installer of these toilets, I wish you the best of luck and I hope you do as you say on your channel and correct this once you have reread the user manual thanks
I am thinking the same thing. I live in Alberta. The Ab gov has published a building code for "Private sewage disposal" It is an excellent book. It covers all variations of building the system in detail.
I am so glad you stood up for yourselves and not allowed to be bullied and got your money back. It seems the toilet people had a potty attitude. Wishing you the best and thank you for showing and teaching us but most importantly for your honesty..
I have never installed a $6,000 dollar toilet. Nor would I ever run a gas line to a plastic toilet for any of my customers. Great explanation and long awaited video😊
Awesome to hear yall's experience and honesty about equipment functional or NOT. That way other's can take or leave it. Be safe and can't wait for the next project ❣️
I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that crap 💩 😂 but also thank you for sharing your honest experience. It really sucks that they tried to force you to take down content just to get a new toilet from them. Their customer service obviously stinks! I’m glad you were true to yourselves and shared the full story. Honestly you were very kind about the entire thing. Many people would have been much more harsh in their evaluation of the company. In the end, it’s only their brand that lost out. Maybe the replacement would have worked perfectly and they would have seen some coverage of that as well. As always, thanks for looking out for the members of The Pack! My own thoughts: you are both amazing. And when is there going to be another merch drop? I missed the first one because I didn’t watch for a couple weeks and when I caught up the run was already done. I want Pack merch!! Also, If you ever do a drive up through Canada to Alaska, you need to stop and say hello in Whitehorse Yukon. That is an adventure you should definitely take the girls (Bella and Izzy) on! Except I wonder if Bella would try to chase a grizzly if she saw one? Anyway, I’m glad your toilet woes are over! You could Sing the poos instead of the blues about the old toilet! 😂😂😂

I think when it comes to toilets the thought that you would need to contact Customer Service is just weird to me. Another helpful & informative video!
Thank you for watching. It was really a bizarre experience.
Honest and balanced review. Excellent. Thank you.
Thank you for listening.😊🐶
What a shiddy experience. I glad everything came out ok in the end. 😸
Thank you.😊🐶
Oh my goodness!
So glad you are all sorted now! ☺️🙌❤️
You girls are sooo honest. It is refreshing! Truth is worth EVERYTHING!
Give ‘em heck girls! Everyone like and subscribe to help the girls defray their loss!
OMG, that was awesome, ladies!!! I hope your new toilet is working well! Love you two for being so honest about the whole situation! ❤️
When it comes to toilets simplicity is the easiest way to go and the best long lasting trouble free.
Congrats!
Just a bizarre experience overall. We have confidence in our new toilet. 😊🐶
It's great to see someone who is not afraid to be up front and honest about a product good on ya.
God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
Y’all and the toilets…..
Thanks for sharing ladies and I can’t wait to see you getting outside and working on the homestead!
Sending Spring your way! ❤
Welcome Spring for sure let’s go! 😊🐶
Good for you girls sticking up for yourselves. People should be careful what they tell you NOT to share. Great job!
Thank you for sharing your experience and sorry the other toilet didn’t work out for you two, always sucks when stuff never works, hope you have a great week and stay safe as well, love you pack!!❤❤👍👍
Thanks for listening! Sending love back from the pack. 💛🐾
@@Vanwives thank you and sending love and hugs back to you guys as well and always🫶❤️
Great to see the honesty about the toilet and how you went about all of the attempts made to solve the problems. You should have not had to go through all of the hoops to solve the problems that did not happen. Hopefully the new system will work flawlessly. It truly is a bad situation when a company does not stand behind their products.
The use of composite poop is used for fertilizer by many. It is called night soil.
You did correct! Thanks for being honest with your audience!
This toilet is not the one……..or the number two🤣🤣 love the honesty in your videos
You made us giggle. 🤭🐶
Nothing like a bit of toilet humor🤣🤣
Jazz and Crystal. So sorry. For what you went through with that company. Thank you for always sharing the truth wishing you and yours the very best in life. Take care 🐶🐾
Thank you for listening Nathan. Have a great week. 😊🐶
Happy you are back! And I am very curious for the toilet story 😊
We are happy to be back. Thanks for listening. 😊🐾
Based on all I have seen up until this point, even outside of this video, you were being generous to the Cinderella people.
Applause for the cabin retailer who made things right!
I hope you have a much better experience with your new toilet, thanks for sharing. Cheers from P.E.I.❤
Thank you for listening Susan, we hope so too. Love PEI.💛🐾
Great job guys. Love watching every Sunday ❤
Happy to have you in our pack. 😊🐾
You put your bog on your vlog, I'm a poet and didn't know it. 😊
Who were the nice ‘Cabin’ people who gave you a refund when Cinderella refused to? Special shout out to them!
Right! We are grateful. 💛🐾
What kind of business is it? They sell cabins or something?
@@annewendt8434The Cabin Depot gave them the refund, it’s a Canadian sustainable living company
@@annewendt8434i think they said the business was called Cabin Depot? But don’t quote me on that. I could be wrong.
I'm glad you shared this I've been looking for one for my guest house
Awe thanks for all your kind words. 💛 🐶
Good on you for not backing down. That company was wrong to try to make you compromise your principles. I'm proud of you.
This was a very informative video. Customer service is never easy. Please tell your cousin that you can't crap in a purse LOL.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. One day we will have e a septic. 😊🐾
We will save that for another video. 😊🐶
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. We appreciate the tip. 😊🐶
I agree it doesn’t really dry out like I expected it to but still zero smell.
Thank you for maintaining your integrity when they tried to manipulate you. In sorry for your experience but always grateful that you share your HONEST experience with your community. Yiu women are strong and amazing people. ❤!
Love watching you all love from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤️
So happy to have you with us Shanee, from the UK💛🐶
Another excellent episode. Not only a perfect installation, but also an honest review on s very disappointing product and customer service experience! Great job!
🥰Missed you both. Happy sunday, from Hamburg Germany - till next vid 🥰
Thanks for coming along with us from Germany! See you next Sunday. 💛🐾
Thank you. For your integrity. These details, I personally may or may not ever need. But they elucidate and validate a True Narrative. Which is engaging and uplifting to--everyone. 💗
Thank you for listening. 😊🐶
Hi girls another top video full of content and well informed thanks for sharing you experience you had with your privacy toilet and how the were with you and for the fun as well as usual you put safety first stay safe out there with your dogs as for me had a bit of bad news as cancer has gone to stag 3 but I am still fighting it
We know you are a fighter Colin, sending hugs your way. 💛🐾
Thanks for the update and sorry you had such a bad experience. I have an electric Cinderella and had no issues. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 it stays that way.
Hi Girls 🥰 Always tuned in and fun to watch, nice Sunday for you xx 🐾🐾💛💛
Happy Sunday Andrea.💛🐾
This looks like a great toilet option. Much better than the ‘composting’ kind. Those are too small for regular use and don’t actually allow for the material to get composted, and then they’re a lot of work to clean out and change over the coir. This way you can fit more 💩 and dry it out/have no smell and then easily dispose of or compost in a proper humanure pile if you have land like you guys. Wish I’d had something like this in my van instead of the natures head.
Hi pack love you all
Sending love back from the pack.💛🐾
I'm glad that you received your money back for your old toilet. And that you have a new toilet that works. 😊
Just cut to the chase and get yourselves a septic tank.. they are proven and reliable.
Thinking about it!! Huge undertaking but this will work for now 😊
I am thinking the same thing. I live in Alberta. The Ab gov has published a building code for "Private sewage disposal" It is an excellent book. It covers all variations of building the system in detail.
@@Vanwivesit’s definitely diyable with y’all’s skill
I am so glad you stood up for yourselves and not allowed to be bullied and got your money back. It seems the toilet people had a potty attitude. Wishing you the best and thank you for showing and teaching us but most importantly for your honesty..
We have used the your new toilet for years. They are awesome.
A little vinegar down the pee port every once in a while keeps the tubing clear.
Hey, hi girls, I'm still here. Glad you got your loo sorted. Don't let anyone tell to take down content.. stuff them... proud that you stood your ground. Stay safe pack. ❤👍😘
Wow, that has been quite the life lesson and I’m glad you were able to persevere and finally get results.
Well, Ladies, I have to say your honesty and integrity as always is extraordinarily refreshing. Your care and consideration of your Subscribers is second to none. WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS your are both inspirational🥂🍾👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
Many of your adventures are unique and inovative. That's why I watch! I don't expect everything you try to be for me. The only thing I find perfect, is the two of you!
Sorry to hear you had trouble with that Incinerator toilet. We have one in our summerhouse and it has been working like a charm. Different country, different brand. I am happy your new one is functioning, it means the world to have it inside in our both insanely cold and snowy winters. Poop away! :)
Hope your new toilet works as it should...You were right to keep complaining until it was sorted out....Love the video.... Stay safe and see you on the next one...God bless you all
I have had the same separett toilet as yours for ten years now and it’s still working perfectly 👍😃❣️
Sorry you had to go through all of that BS! glad you have a new one and Crystal doesn't have to go outside at night anymore!
