And also, there would be too much to work out, such as if there would be any balance changes at all or would it just be same old MELEE with Fox and Falco dominating. Capcom gave them ultra street fighter 2 for $40. Namco just made Namco museum with just 10 games (COME ON NAMCO!! Guys as a very frustrated long time Nintendo fan I appreciate you guys exploring this aspect of "what if". I think it is a needed perspective when it comes to Nintendo.

My only fears for Nintendo this year at E3 is them just showing stuff we've already know about. They'll obviously show Xenoblade 2, Fe, and the Rabbids crossover game, but I hope they don't drag too much on any game except Mario Odyssey. That especially goes towards Arms and Splatoon 2 since they're having tournaments on them. As for Mario Odyssey, there's the 4 worlds spectulations, but since there are 5 or 6 bunnies and 1 giant bird acting as major bosses, I'm assuming the game will have 7-9 worlds with Bowser having a world or 3 too.
Really hoping Nintendo doesn't mess things up at E3. They've been doing great recently and I would love to see that momentum continue. My nightmares are: 1. As a huge Xenoblade fan, I would be highly disappointed at a lack of time on the floor, or even worse, a delay.. 2. No sneak peeks of core titles in development. Your smash switch, pikmin 4, animal crossing, etc. Those would be amazing on switch!

I don't often comment on older videos like this, but considering Nintendo still haven't done their E3 yet, i wanted to post this. A lot of talk about Nintendo needing momentum, how they need stuff going into next year. Right now, The last few months ALONE have been more packed with named Nintendo titles that ever. Having Zelda and Mario in the same year on the Wii would of been exciting. The same for the Gamecube. But you also get Splatoon, Mario Kart, Pokken. Yea, not all of them are winners BUT IN A SINGLE YEAR this screams a lot bigger launch year then Nintendo normally swing. Maybe it's just because people don't feel it's E3 without a shocking surprise but i feel the Switch is really in a good place right now and that feels rare enough. :)
Nintendo's online is still severely lacking. I really hope that changes asap. Most disappoing for me is if its still hard to group up, no voice chat support, and no nice way to get my games onto a new console. Ideally all my save games and online purchases should be stored in the cloud and grouping up should be something at least on par with PlayStation.
My biggest concern is the online service. Knowing how good PSN and XBL are and have been, I'm worried that Nintendo's will feel very watered down compared to the other two platforms. I'm also worried that the phone app will be an absolute disaster. Another thing that worries me is virtual console. If it doesn't come out this year, that'll be a major disappointment. Game wise, I want more announcements. Mario Odyssey gameplay is cool, but I've known that's coming. What am I getting next year? Further out? I want new announcements, and I'm worried there won't be many new ones.
I would like to not see a Nintendo E3 Direct again where its just shown online and they don't have a stage presentation. They haven't had one I think since 2012

is it only me or does anyone else think that the Switch needs exclusive games for docked mode, and exclusive games for on-the-go mode? I mean, this could be a Mario Maker for handheld, or you could play and build on the screen, or just play whilst docked? Another thing is more HD rumble. It would be fun to see 3rd party games taking advantage of HD rumble. I feel that the Switch has many points that aren't being taken advantage of enough
The only thing I really want more than anything from E3 is an Animal Crossing announcement for the Switch. I think the timing is perfect with the Animal Crossing App coming out soon-ish and it's been 4 years since New Leaf. Animal Crossing is the quintessential Switch title. The only other game that fits the console's philosophy as well as Animal Crossing is Pokemon. But the Pokemon Company doesn't seem enthusiastic about the Switch. We will see.

Hey SwitchForce, Fourth Edge here. Two things that would ruin E3 for me would be, 1. Nintendo doesn't announce anything new for 2017, or 2018, and 2. A ruined e3 in my opinion will be no announcement for a new Pokémon game on the switch, I know it doesn't sound major, but pokemon fans have been waiting through multiple Nintendo directs to at least see an announcement for a new game, but still nothing
I know this isnt the video for it, but i'm suprised noone has mentioned animal crossing as a potential for the switch, i know its probably more of a 2018 title based on the semi-recent updates for the 3ds version but it seems very possible for the Switch, much bigger worlds and such.
my worst nightmare for E3 would be Nintendo not showing or talking about the future DLC for BOTW. The summer DLC isn't a big deal but the winter DLC is going to be a game changer and I can't wait to see how Nintendo pulls it off

My absolute the dream for Mario Oddessy is that some of the worlds are inspired by previous Mario games, like the past 3D Mario games, and maybe even Paper Mario, or Super Mario RPG. Although I highly doubt this, I would love this, as it would be a nice throwback for the older players.
What would be disappointing? Hmm. Maybe a bunch of 8 and 16 bit indie titles. I don't need the latest and greatest in graphics or whatever, but I do have a preference for 3d. I know the console is home and handheld in one, but I'm more interested in taking big console games with me than displaying mobile type titles on my tv.

That includes Mario Sports, Mario Party, Mario&Luigi, Paper Mario (only if it's bad, like Colour Splash or Sticker Star), Mario Tennis, Mario Golf....all of that shovelware. We don't need that at E3, and it doesn't sell systems.
It seems likely that the leaked M&L: Superstar Saga remake will be revealed, but since it's a 3DS game, it won't be part of the Nintendo Spotlight presentation.

Nintendo already stated the game was already close to completion and a delay would not only disappoint certain fans based on this claim (buying a Switch early in prevention of not being able to find one at holiday, mostly for this game), but it would be detrimental to Nintendo's Switch sales as this is supposedly going to release in the holiday season - that's the best possible time for one of the best selling franchise's main game to release. If they decide to make bundles and for the $300 tag, shit will sell like crazy. Both the game and the Switch.
You've set these expectations in stone, don't vanquish them abruptly. It punishes both Nintendo and the fans. Even if the game would turn out better to be delayed, they shouldn't have otherwise given that specific time frame of release if certain, but they were.
It would take them talking to much about arms, splatoon and Mario Odyssey. If there focus is on those games only then it will be bad.
Expectation: "WOW MARIO ODYSSEY, METROID, POKÉMON , ANIMAL CROSSING, AND KIRBY! + NEW UPDATES ON OTHER GAMES!

More Breath of the Wild DLC: more masks, ocarina playing option and you can actually beat Ganon Pokémon DPP remakes are revealed as early Spring titles. Virtual Console launches a short while after it's reveal. You can buy ARMS a day early.

Guys as a very frustrated long time Nintendo fan I appreciate you guys exploring this aspect of "what if". I think it is a needed perspective when it comes to Nintendo.
One thing I would love for switch is a new Pokèmon Mystery Dungeon type game. This could be the type of pokemon they bring instead of the mainline games because those were so much fun

My only fears for Nintendo this year at E3 is them just showing stuff we've already know about. They'll obviously show Xenoblade 2, Fe, and the Rabbids crossover game, but I hope they don't drag too much on any game except Mario Odyssey. That especially goes towards Arms and Splatoon 2 since they're having tournaments on them. As for Mario Odyssey, there's the 4 worlds spectulations, but since there are 5 or 6 bunnies and 1 giant bird acting as major bosses, I'm assuming the game will have 7-9 worlds with Bowser having a world or 3 too.
Really hoping Nintendo doesn't mess things up at E3. They've been doing great recently and I would love to see that momentum continue.
My nightmares are:
1. As a huge Xenoblade fan, I would be highly disappointed at a lack of time on the floor, or even worse, a delay..
2. No sneak peeks of core titles in development. Your smash switch, pikmin 4, animal crossing, etc. Those would be amazing on switch!
I will throw out a crazy prediction for fun that will have next to no possibility in being true. Like Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Wooly World, I present the idea... Animal Crossing + Yarn/Wool
1) No form of Smash Bros
2) No new Nintendo games for Switch
3) More games that I wouldn't ever bother to play like puzzles

I don't often comment on older videos like this, but considering Nintendo still haven't done their E3 yet, i wanted to post this. A lot of talk about Nintendo needing momentum, how they need stuff going into next year. Right now, The last few months ALONE have been more packed with named Nintendo titles that ever. Having Zelda and Mario in the same year on the Wii would of been exciting. The same for the Gamecube. But you also get Splatoon, Mario Kart, Pokken. Yea, not all of them are winners BUT IN A SINGLE YEAR this screams a lot bigger launch year then Nintendo normally swing. Maybe it's just because people don't feel it's E3 without a shocking surprise but i feel the Switch is really in a good place right now and that feels rare enough. :)
Nintendo's online is still severely lacking. I really hope that changes asap. Most disappoing for me is if its still hard to group up, no voice chat support, and no nice way to get my games onto a new console. Ideally all my save games and online purchases should be stored in the cloud and grouping up should be something at least on par with PlayStation.
My biggest concern is the online service. Knowing how good PSN and XBL are and have been, I'm worried that Nintendo's will feel very watered down compared to the other two platforms. I'm also worried that the phone app will be an absolute disaster.
Another thing that worries me is virtual console. If it doesn't come out this year, that'll be a major disappointment.
Game wise, I want more announcements. Mario Odyssey gameplay is cool, but I've known that's coming. What am I getting next year? Further out? I want new announcements, and I'm worried there won't be many new ones.
I would like to not see a Nintendo E3 Direct again where its just shown online and they don't have a stage presentation. They haven't had one I think since 2012

is it only me or does anyone else think that the Switch needs exclusive games for docked mode, and exclusive games for on-the-go mode? I mean, this could be a Mario Maker for handheld, or you could play and build on the screen, or just play whilst docked? Another thing is more HD rumble. It would be fun to see 3rd party games taking advantage of HD rumble. I feel that the Switch has many points that aren't being taken advantage of enough

The only thing I really want more than anything from E3 is an Animal Crossing announcement for the Switch. I think the timing is perfect with the Animal Crossing App coming out soon-ish and it's been 4 years since New Leaf. Animal Crossing is the quintessential Switch title. The only other game that fits the console's philosophy as well as Animal Crossing is Pokemon. But the Pokemon Company doesn't seem enthusiastic about the Switch. We will see.
Literally just confirm Metroid. You don't have to say if it's 2D or Prime. You don't have to show a logo. All you have to do is say "We're working on a new Metroid and will have more information soon.

Hey SwitchForce, Fourth Edge here. Two things that would ruin E3 for me would be, 1. Nintendo doesn't announce anything new for 2017, or 2018, and 2. If Super Mario Odyssey is nothing more than a 4 hour game with a couple areas to explore with nothing in them. Those are some of my opinions. Fourth Edge, out!

A ruined e3 in my opinion will be no announcement for a new Pokémon game on the switch, I know it doesn't sound major, but pokemon fans have been waiting through multiple Nintendo directs to at least see an announcement for a new game, but still nothing
I know this isnt the video for it, but i'm suprised noone has mentioned animal crossing as a potential for the switch, i know its probably more of a 2018 title based on the semi-recent updates for the 3ds version but it seems very possible for the Switch, much bigger worlds and such.
my worst nightmare for E3 would be Nintendo not showing or talking about the future DLC for BOTW. The summer DLC isn't a big deal but the winter DLC is going to be a game changer and I can't wait to see how Nintendo pulls it off

My absolute the dream for Mario Oddessy is that some of the worlds are inspired by previous Mario games, like the past 3D Mario games, and maybe even Paper Mario, or Super Mario RPG. Although I highly doubt this, I would love this, as it would be a nice throwback for the older players.
I don't get how people are still linking 3D world to Odyssey...they look nothing alike and the way mario controls is much different than 3D World.
What would be disappointing? Hmm. Maybe a bunch of 8 and 16 bit indie titles. I don't need the latest and greatest in graphics or whatever, but I do have a preference for 3d. I know the console is home and handheld in one, but I'm more interested in taking big console games with me than displaying mobile type titles on my tv.

No new third party would spell lots of doubt for the switch's success, the thing which killed WiiU was lack of third party support, the Nintendo stuff on the console was good but the lack of games was disappointing.

I just reeeallllyyy want some news on Xenoblade 2. They said it's coming this year, but considering the fact that we know nothing about it and how Xenoblade X was delayed quite a bit..... I'm a bit worried. I'm hoping they've showed nothing about it because they're waiting for E3, but I can't picture it being a big reveal cause it's not that big of a franchise yet.

I'm probably not expecting something Jaw dropping like at E3 2004, but I do expect a good e3. My guess is show more gameplay of new games we know about and a few trailers of new games/ports we don't know about
