This really takes me back! I went to a small elementary school about 56 kids total. Every morning our science/music teacher would play this little guitar type instrument (wish i knew what it was called) without the long part wile we all sat around in a circle in the gym. We got to choose and pick the songs and I still can't start my day without music. I'm almost 34 and still remember his playing and singing so fondly to this day💜
Grandson is a natural. No stage fright, good presence and didn't even blink when his Granddad swiped his verse. Real trooper. Put a, instrument in his hands and teach him how to play it... and there's the future generation!
Yes, this is delightful! I love the way Tom turns a mistake into something that I want to replay over and over again! And Sean is such a natural performer! And a charmer!
_The memories come flooding back when I listen to this song. I think he may have composed it around 1966/67...when folk clubs all over Dublin, Ireland sang the songs of Mr.Paxton...Thank you Tom...No doubt about it Seán has the genes...ℳ∁_
Brilliant stuff. Takes after his grandad, a chip off the old block I reckon. Anyway, I used to sing this song years ago when working with some young children, in fact it was one of the first few songs I learned to play on the guitar. Some 30 years later, I was meaning to sing 'My Dingaling' to some adults I meet for a few weeks each year, around a campfire, and this song came out of my brains cobwebs somewhere as if by magic. Guess what, they loved it and now whenever I perform for them this is one of the first songs I am beseached to sing. I still can't do it as good as Tom and his Grandson though. Thanks Tom for inspiring me. My guitar and your music has go me through some tough times and helped me laugh when I wanted to cry. That's a very special gift !!!
Hey, Tom. Always been proud of you .turned you down for the role of swim team captain in a film I was making. with the Oklahoma Film unit . you made a film with us. anyway,
