Mortius and Peter, I loved having the 2 of you go through this. I've listened to several times but this was enlightening. When I first saw the title to this and you sang "red, orange, yellow flicker beat" it made me think of the 3 colors of flickers that I've seen. Here in the Southeast the common one is red, out West is yellow and where the ranges overlap you get orange. Y'all did great on this one, truly. And Mortius, loved your substitute PIT VIPERS and the upside down version. Clever! I've mentioned this before but it would be great fun to have Peter and Geoff do a duet.
I am rewatching essentially all of these videos, hearing Peter say that the low range of someone’s voice is set basically by biology is pretty interesting. I’m an 18 year old girl whose lower range can extend into growled octave 1. My low notes without growls go to Db2. And my higher range goes quite high too, which as he said is more flexible. But the fact that, as a biological woman, my range can go as low as it does is really intriguing for me.
