this run really encapsulates the highs and lows of isaac, add some holy brsh banter and this run really had it all
NL is hitting the nail on the issue hard, endurance fights in Issac are absolutely painful to play. This run is a good example of that, even if he does pop off at the end your mood is going to sour with how long it could take to get there

Have you tried Noita? It fits in that same roguelite lane as Isaac where the good runs are extremely fun. It doesn't have the same longevity as Isaac IMO but it's good for a few hundred hours at least.

I have a weird superpower of kinda syncing with NL's runs. Had a run with Blue Baby to Beast, accidentally dropped to Womb, ended up going to the chest and (having a missed key piece) killing Blue Baby at the same time as Ryan killed Mega Stan (44 minutes run).

I know how you feel, NL. I had the same thing with Rogue Legacy. Phenomenal Rogue-like but after enough time it gets hit with the same rogue-like curse. I haven’t played Rogue Legacy 2, but I think they fixed that

The thing that this game suffers the most from is: its so fun and quick to play, you play until you hate it
this has been my experience at least. As soon as I got dead god, I uninstalled it and it felt so weird, but I wouldn't say I miss it

I can't believe you're still playing this. i honestly detest this game since the DLC was released its just not enjoyable anymore for me
Repentance drastically increased the difficulty of the game on hardmode after years of slowly sliding easier and easier due to difficult enemies getting nerfed and both items and combos getting stupid strong with nicalis being scared to nerf anything due to backlash.
It was a huge shock for lots of people, because a ton of people enjoyed playing the game for ridiculously powerful item combos, so even though a lot of the enemies are fairer than they were in ab+, you feel the difficulty a ton more.
If you want a similar experience to how it was in ab+, normal mode is very similar but with the new content.
@@bloopertrooper4452 I wonder if someone who hasn't played tje game at all would like the DLC more than someone who has 3000+ hours in rebirth and AB+
I get what you're saying but I still think its far less fun than it used to be. Half tje added content I dislike as much as I like the other half
