    This is the most revealing history about Santana. Especially the beginning and the story around the performance on Woodstock is not only representive for Santana but for the whole 60-70's. It's remarkable how Santana, though part of this time, had the spiritual power in himself to play from the heart and kept on finding the creativity to give himself and his music the center of his being. Although for me, the music from the first period is most inspiring, I respect Santana as a human being. Tnx!

      Wait did he literally die at the show? If so that's quite a way to go
      Either way respect to you both my man and pardon my asking but it sounds like quite the story, unless I misunderstood...

    Tnx @shantiq. Still, every time I watch the live Woodstock performance of Soul Sacrifice, I get tears in my eyes. Everything is perfect, even the wrong note of Gregg Rolie played on the Hammond. Michael Shrieve, playing as an angel! I should have been there, but then, I would not have noticed the greatness of their performance. Thanks for uploading!

    The way Carlos described the mariachi music at 9:47 sound like how a lot of people describe country music. crying in your beer.

    Carlos. Nos hemos conocido personalmente. Pues como tú conoces tantos hermanos. Te comprendo, tú ya no me recuerdas, supongo, pues si nos viéramos. Sin duda alguna vez, me reconocerias. Con tu memoria de computadora. sin duda que sería así. Saludos a tu padre, Jorge. Miguel Ángel. De Chile.

    Forget the Dave Matthews rubbish and all the other pop stuff of later years. This is dreadful, and enlightened Carlos nowadays is hard work.

    He is the first Mexican guy who tells the truth about how horrible is the Mariachi music which is about drunks, and betray, dirty minds and prostitution. Disgusting.

    • @rvz77
      @rvz77 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      lucydg1 you know, I love the Mexican culture & their passion about their heritage & work ethic. I find a parallel in their work ethic & family like eastern European. & mariachi music & polka, have similarities I love & grew up with!
      the younger generation is FULL OF THEMSELVES & think they're better than anyone else, they can fuck off to hell, pronto! but I respect the older generation tremendously! idk what went wrong with younger generation.
      but, even the older folks I work with, they're like sexual hound dogs! non stop talk about sex.
      I don't know what it is.
      I'm catholic from eastern Europe taught to put a cap on that random "F'ing" behavior, but they're catholic from Western hemisphere, & always talking about screwing.
      theyre horny dogs....must be in the tortillas, or SMTHG IDK
      I love them with respect, but shit boys, CMON.
      other stuff in life more important, IS THERE? ??
