This is technically the closest we can get to a Call of Duty game on the PS1, since Activision published this game, and many CoD games use a modified version of the Quake engine so it's kinda interesting to see a game on the PS1 use that technology (except for the aiming down sights).
What difference does it make who published the game? It was developed by ID software. 1st Cod was made by infinity wards and it was running ID tech 3 engine witch was developed for quake3 arena not for quake2
