I built a table top like this about 15yrs ago. I didn't use the plywood like you did. What a mistake...! When you said you were adding probably too many screws, i thought, no..... you need lots of them. Mine ended up moving around, even after being bolted in. The way you did it solves that issue. I work around heavy equipment. My toolbox top gets abused. I am going to rip mine down and use your method. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR IDEAS.

So did you attach it from the top drawer with the screw heads facing down towards the floor of the drawer?
