CS2 is not an "amazing game" by any means. It's one version of CS, and that will basically always be enjoyable. But its only unique pros compared to other versions are visuals (arguably) and smoke grenades. Otherwise it's an infinitely worse version of CSGO.
If you mean CS as a whole, really that wasn't even Valve originally, it was a half life fan mod lol.

cs is dead right now that is run by bots farming cases, as a cs player since 2002 when I was 5 years old, cs is my first game than I ever played and it has a big place in my heart, but the game has never been the same, csgo in 2015-16 was the best era for the game that included 50% of the game was about skins and market and 50% was about the gameplay and unique level system compared to other cs/fps games, now its above 90% about skins that gameplay don't matter and no improvements have been added, valorant made their game to be 100% playable without having market or anything else to make their game survive.
Having played ESEA across both Global Offensive and CS2, the differences between the games makes it absolutely infuriating. At it's core, it's still CS. It plays almost the same fundamentally, its the same guns, the same maps. But the game just FEELS... not good. Even when I hit insane clips or am destroying people, it never feels RIGHT. Half the time when I kill somebody it doesn't feel like I did it. When I play Supremacy or ClassicCounter and I shoot somebody in the head with an AK, it feels like I earned that kill, like I pointed my crosshair at the head, shot, and as a result got a kill. When I hit an AK headshot in CS2 it feels like I TRIED to kill them with a headshot, and just got lucky enough for it to actually be rewarded. Don't know why the game feels so sluggish in-engine when the tick system was so strange at times.

Rest in Peace TF2. The nostalgia I get thinking about the hours in that are crazy. Hope the cs2 community doesn't have the same fate.
Do you not know? Valve actually did something about the bot problem in TF2, and now the game is currently bot free.

CS is Valve's biggest cash cow and Valve just doesn't GAF, lets be real people love simplicity, CS is very complicated, but at a view it can seem very simple to someone who hasn't played it especially compared to every other game with their bs gimmicks. I think CS can truly last forever it has been going and doing nothing but growing (until recently) since the 90s. Valve definitely picks its favorites look at DOTA and their presence there comparatively.
I played cs from 1.0 to 1.6. The changes back then were logical and made sense to help with the progression of the game. Even though the cheats were basic, the anti cheats stopped that pretty much overnight. I never played source, because, growing up on dust 1, aztec, train, etc. The new maps and mechanics didn't interest me. After taking about 10 years off I've come back and started playing cs2 earlier this year. The game feels disjointed and like valve has "done enough" to make the game playable, they make money through crates and skins, instead of listening to the community and developers. Cs2 should still be in beta testing, it's not "e sports ready" like they claim it to be, it's not a smooth game play, it's not immune to cheaters even though valve released over watch. Valve have turned away from the community because their pockets are now lined with cash. I've been playing another game and the exact same thing is happening. Greed motivates developers to drop small updates and fixes here and there, but they don't need to, because they're getting paid either way.
Why would valve give a fuck? Once they find a way to make money from Deadlock skins, avatars, weapons and start running major global tournamets for that game, cs2 will most likely take a back seat. It earns them enough that they don't have to worry about it anymore.
I've loved cs since I was 13 years old back in 2001. Attending lan parties that ran death match and clan tournaments from midnight to 6am, some of my oldest friends I met through counter strike, it will always have a special place in my heart. Always. If Valve doesn't get their head out of their ass, we will see pro's turning to different games with better support and mechanics.
Tl:dr - cs is fucking awesome. Valve need a kick in the dick.
I played and had hope for Z1 for years and then it slowly died and lost almost every player after daybreak ignored what everyone wanted. I see CS2 going down the same path but they have a much bigger dedicated fan base than Z1.
Valve took a really good step with the anti-cheat, they made a server-side detection system which will be the future. Vanguard may be moved from kernel to user-mode because Microsoft doesn't want anyone in kernel anymore and this is already announced (crowdstrike incident).
Fix registration, fix the fucked up ranking system, really go after cheaters. They do this and the game is great.
The game now is less optimized than it was even 8 months ago. Subtick is creating issues and it's really not the future. Just by nature of subtick people will still be dying behind walls, awp shots will be going nowhere, bullets won't be connecting and jiggle peeking will be impossible. The problem is the fact that the core gameplay of the game is still the same and cs2 could be the same as CSGO in many aspects with its own twists, but the devs are a group of useless toddlers. All of my friends which played cs quit it. out of us 8 i am the only one that still plays lmao.
I feel like cs2 is alot better now than couple months ago, but valve is cooking i think its slow but they are doing it right

There's a part of me that says "wait a bit more, they need a bit more time and they'll start putting out some great stuff"
There's another part that's taking over saying "who am i kidding, why should I believe in them at this point, it's clear they just don't care and aren't worth putting any faith in"

Currently, TF2 is completely botless, which is pretty nice.

You can't blame valve for ignoring Danger Zone. People didn't care about it enough for them to waste time working on it. I liked it a lot and had some fun, but nobody plays CS for a battleground...
I don't think anyone has overwatch. I haven't seen anyone show a video of it existing.

The only funny thing about cheaters are that they are deliberately ruining their own motor skills and not exercising their brains. I can't imagine their real life is any good. Cheaters that do it regularly, you might as well play chess against grandmasters and flip the board over on your first turn, declare checkmate, and tell them they suck because the cheater immediately knocked all their pieces off the board. Same mentality. I would rather see someone show me their raw skill, because then it's actually a game at that point. It's not a game if there's no odds of winning. There still are some obvious cheaters....just I never see them on faceit. edit: one match I had one. Just one. That was a while ago, back in csgo. I think someone can't be legit if they get onto mirage A site before fastest CT gets to stairs by conn, and they just bhopped and fanned the deagle and got all five kills in like 2 seconds. Every round. I still remember their name, like SuperMarioBroDude or something. They're peeking a 1v5 and then just casually wipe out everyone that's very spaced out in literally inhuman speed. Getting them banned was easy, all our team had to do was submit it to faceit admins
Imagine a casino where your odds are 0% no matter what, for all their card games and machines.
Would anyone play those games? No.
Trust me, there are more cheaters on FaceIT than you think but people that cheat on FaceIT do it how it's supposed to be done, they use it to gain slight advantage, be it radar hack or if crosshair is 5-10-20pixels close to body hit first shot, something similar, you get my point.
People are getting banned for cheating on faceit but it takes time, most of the time, if they are not being that obvious.
There are others that get away with it cheat for a period of time then stop and nothing happens. FaceIT is NOT cheater proof platform it's just prevending 95% of free cheats and you get banned asap. If you wanna cheat on FaceIT and get away you will have to pay from 20$ to 100$+ and learn how to use it in order to avoid ban.
But even then it's better to play against those cheaters then Premier/Comp/Normal because even if they have cheat advantage its not like you cannot win against it.
CS will never die, let's make that clear. It's on the scene for decades now.
But the problem with every CS and Valve is that they take so much time to fix something and to add new content.
I just want desync to be fixed and game will be much better.
I also don't care about Premier and VAC cause FACEIT is FREE.
You can still use snap tap without an issue if you don't spam strafe like crazy. If U spam strafe like crazy you can get kicked once from a comp match but that's about it you can rejoin back to the match immediately and continue playing as normal. I personally still enjoy the benefits of snap tap. For me is annoying having to change my keyboard settings every time I switch game so I just leave my keyboard as it is.
Valve gains nothing from solving the cheater problem. They need less servers because a lot of players move to faceit, which is only a positive for them. They have partially outsourced providing competitive servers which was only a cost for them.
I recently received a comment on one of my videos. Take a look:
"As a cheat developer, I find that Valve has made it trivially easy to cheat in their game. No Overwatch or Trust-Factor along with an anti-cheat that is very easy to bypass, creates an echo chamber where more and more players start cheating just because they encounter other cheaters on a regular basis. This game is not dead yet but will die in the near future if nothing is done about this."

5:20 The snaptap detection had so many false positives that Valve had to make the check so insensitive to the point that it feels like it's not even in the game anymore. Nullbind configs still exist and so do configs that *counterstrafe for you*. Valve has never made a robust anticheat check. At least in the past when someone got VAC banned it was undeniable that they were cheating. Nowadays with people getting banned for changing m_yaw or having an AMD graphics card, I cannot trust VAC even when it works.
I'm glad cuz I still use snap tap and I enjoy using it lmao. The kicks are very infrequent so no complaints on my behalf.

yeah, no. Counter-strike will never fade out simply due the competetive aspect of it. After the release of source it was supposed to die, and yet in the long run it actually ended up with two thriving scenes. The subtick feels horrible and it will take a long time for it to be fixed. There is a ton of bugs, and cheaters, more than in cs:go. But it's not like cs:go did not have utterly hopeless periods of time when playing in LEM+ resulted in averaging 2 spinbotters a game, or terrible patches when cz and later tec became the meta for 2 years straight, and there is the R8 fiasco.
The implication that there is no cheaters in valorant is as always baseless. There is no demos in valorant. You actually have no way of checking if somebody was cheating vs you or not.
That argument was always based purely on how it feels.
And yeah, I am playing defense for valve. Why? because in the end, they do deliver. It takes them a lot of time, but they do get there.
oh, and fully on larping as a devils advocate, tf2 was probably abandoned due to deadlock.

I am literally losing my mind in the game right now. I practice my spray every day but when it comes to duels it seems like that either I am too stupid and I can;t learn the spray or there's something seriously wrong about the game, because whenever I spray the game feels awful and the bullets are never where I intend them to be.
The biggest performance problem right now is not actually with the fps i think. The latency is the real issues here, I tried many differents games with the Nvidia Latency Overlay, and with most games it hovers around 0.5-2 ms at the highest, but cs2 i average 10ms and commonly have ~15ms seemingly at random, i can actually feels the delay with my mouse movement sometime when the latency are high which just make the game so unrespond-sive and this just make playing the game simply feels awful....
they need to give us back cs go man, cs2 is so fucking bad

Most people can’t even run the game. Need a NASA pc to run it smooth with 1% lows being above 144. There goes a big ass chunk of the player base.

Community servers are dead and the ones still alive are on life support. They get no script/api help from valve. 1 year later and nothing has changed..

for na office players on cs2 it's over, every server is based in Chicago where i swear they put the worst servers for a dead map and the people who enjoy it get to suffer.

Would you recommend FaceIt to a relatively new player like me? I have about 400 hours and am around 10k in Premier mode. Should I stick to Premier or try FaceIt? Great video btw, always like the content you put out there! Keep up the amazing work!
First off, thank you, that really means a lot to me.
Second, If your intention is to improve at CS as quickly as possible then I highly recommend moving to Faceit as soon as you can. It’ll be a tough transition and you’ll likely perform poorly and lose quite a bit at the start. But eventually your Elo will calibrate and you’ll start improving.
I loved counter-strike to death but CS2 killed my love for the game, it’s just not worth my hope when I see a update and it ruins my day because they fix some random thing that I had no idea was an issue

what you should discuss is the removal of kernel ac's from windoze and what it will mean . definetely faceit and the likes will cease to exist
From what I understand, windows locking down the kernel will also lock out kernel level cheats. This will eliminate the necessity of kernel level detection because all software’s are locked out via windows.

they dont need to make good anticheat beacuse they make a lot of money from cheaters (a lot of cheaters have accs worth hundreds of thousands dollars and they get banned like once in 2 years and they dont care) and if someone wants to play seriously just goes on faceit and gets like 1 in 20 matches cheater
