Great interview. I've only know the Salome I see on court where she is very serious and not at all appealing. I love that you brought out Salome's personality with your questions and we got to see her honest answers and her authentic smiles and sense of humor. Salome is now a very appealing human being to me. I'll never see her the same when watching her games. She will still appear serious to me but also very human and very appealing....what a great person she is....and an awesome pickle baller. Thanks again for having her on as a guest where we could see the full picture of Salome.
We're glad this interview showed more of Salome's personality, she's a wonderful person and pickleballer. Her game face is actually one to the things we admire, complete focus and intensity 😆
Great interview, thank you. If you read this Ms. Devidze, I met you in Mesa AZ at Legacy, maybe at your first tournament, in 2022? I just said hello, and said you were great. And you were very polite. It was the tournament where you were in the championship (I think). They did put in four line judges (yes, you did have a reputation :) but who did an absolutely horrible job calling balls, I remember four horrible calls with one being overturned by the ref in your favor. Glad you are doing well. Best of luck in the future. What a lot of fans don't see is that you are usually the only one who thanks the refs and fans at the end of a match. So, now you know it doesn't go unnoticed. :)
I very much enjoyed the interview and learning your compelling story. Your on-court persona is all-business. This interview showed your charm, intelligence, and grace. Like you I played competitive tennis but only at a local level. Today, at 74 years I coach pickleball in a retirement village and love learning and teaching as I learn. What resonated with me as a coach was your comment that playing pickleball at a high level requires many small adjustment steps (relative to tennis) and different training. When you beat ALW in singles your footwork made that amazing victory possible (I thought as watching). You were on balance and stepping into each shot at a higher level than ALW in that game. Congrats and best wishes.
Thank you for your thoughtful observations! It’s insightful to hear from someone with a background in both tennis and pickleball. Your dedication to teaching and learning, especially at 74, is truly inspiring. It’s amazing how pickleball can be enjoyed by people of all ages throughout their lives. Wishing you all the best and thank you for watching!

I am glad I saw this interview- it surprised me as I have developed some preconceived notions of who she is and I saw her in a new light- she’s actually a very nice person.
Great interview with Salome. She does few of them. Always have enjoyed watching her matches. She's gotten some bad press and I'm glad to learn it's not bothering her. Her hobby of building travel vans is very cool. Hope that Padeltek is good to her. Agree 100% with what she says about pro paddle being the same that's available to the public.
We’re happy this interview showed more of Salome’s off-court personality-she’s a wonderful individual. And yes, her game face is all about that focus and intensity 😄
Absolutely, positively an astute, charming, knowledgeable athlete. My favorite player , conversion van affectionaldo, and personal trainer etc. Enjoy your season and on to victory
I was very impressed with her perspective and knowledge of the differences between tennis and pickleball as it related to fitness training, preparation, movement on court, etc. She also showed her interesting, thoughtful, funny, and genuine persona throughout the interview. Your questions helped to set the stage for an enjoyable interview.
Great interview. I hope more view it so they realize that she is a good person and that she shouldn’t have to make out calls to begin with. None of them should. Not excusing her bad calls. Just saying they don’t define her as a person.
Remember everyone. The PPA is incredibly dishonest. Tyson's paddle was found to be illegal when he won Gold in MS recently. Travis complained several times, during and after the match. Yet, PPA said Travis didn't complain in time and that's why they did nothing.
Before this interview I was not a fan of hers .. in fact I couldn’t stand her .. now.. I can respect her more and appreciate her style. Just no more obvious hooking !
Btw did u watch the match she played against alw and won - alw made 6 bad calls. One was so bad literally so bad that her own sideline team overruled her lolol. Salome is far from the worst out there…

Line judges are a MUST in order for this sport to move forward
Professionals should never have to call their lines when money is on the line
Completely agreed! Let's see if the new line cameras make a difference in the long run
It's good to watch this--Salome is so intense on the court--I'm liking how she seems so personable!!
We’re happy this interview showed more of Salome’s off-court personality-she’s a wonderful individual. And yes, her game face is all about that focus and intensity 😄
Great interview. Loved hearing Salome’s POV.
Agreed so refreshing the sport needs her!!
Great player, great person, great interview
This is awesome, Didnt know this side of Salome, ive only known her from memes. Such a great episodes.
Great interview! What a contrast between on court Salome and off court Salome. She seems like a wonderful, thoughtful human. Again....well done!
Salome was candid about everything. Great interview!
Absolutely, positively an astute, charming, knowledgeable athlete. My favorite player , conversion van affectionaldo, and personal trainer etc. Enjoy your season and on to victory
Well said
@@sandon212 Thank you and I can’t wait to watch Salome play.
What a lovely interview. The best pickleball interview I've seen. Both just lovely
So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for your kind words 🥰

Thrilled to hear you like our podcast! We truly enjoyed getting to know and sharing the real Salome 😊

💯on point!

The URL you give for Salome's website has an error. Devidze is miss-spelled.
Otherwise, great interview. THANKS!
Glad you enjoyed it. Error corrected & thanks so much for catching it!
