SOLO Backcountry SUV Camping with Dogs :: [A GX470 Story]

- I recently took my dogs, Ruby and Lorenzo, SUV camping with me in my Lexus GX470 in Lassen National Forest. Ruby is a Chocolate Lab and Lorenzo is a Miniature Golden Retriever. This was Lorenzo's first time camping. He loved it.

Love the GX and cool doggos you got there!! This place looks awesome, what road is this on? I visit lassen a few times a year and never come across this area before.
Hey Allen, thanks so much for stopping by and for the comment! This area of Lassen NF is between Old Station and Susanville off of Hwy 44. The road is 35N08 on the forest service Topo map. I jumped onto it just immediately west of Poison Lake on the North side of Hwy 44. I took the road North East and camped around the Patterson Flat area. Adventure On!

Is Ruby quite old?

@@SoccerMomOffroad Nice. Yeah got a Pomeranian Poodle mix now cuz of allergy sufferers but had a wonderful black Lab Greyhound mix for many years. Was an awesome dog!
