Great demo!! I want to try the Woodrow and the Lion. I have the Dream and Ruby and both are fantastic. I have a random thought that im curious about. It seems to me that UA is releasing these pedals in a chronological order in which the real amps were released. UA started with the 55 Woodrow (Tweed Deluxe), Ruby 63 (AC30), Dream 65 (Deluxe Reverb), now Lion 68 Super Lead (Plexi). I wonder if thats a coincidence, or if im onto their pattern. Im curious if their next release will be their first bass amp modeler a 69 Ampeg SVT?
I am having trouble finding answers to some simple questions. Is this good for use with a 12'"cabinet(home use) or is this just for stage and recording? If it can be used with a cab, does it sound good at low/ bedroom volumes? I have watched a lot of videos on all of these models and haven't seen one being played through a cab. I am looking for a solid state amp without a bunch of effects(don't want a Katana, etc) that sounds good and is at least kind of close to a tube amp. Any advice?
Electro harmonix makes some power amps in a pedal they will drive a cab and sound great, I use the 5mm and a the 8” orange cab for home sound great. When I go out and jam I’ve been using a black star amped 2 and just plug into the return. Sounds great
Cannot be used with a cabinet by itself, and running it as a pedal into your amp through your cab won't get the sound your expecting. You need a FRFR speaker cabinet for this or any other amp modeler if you're not running them into your computer, recording, PA, etc.
@@flatusgamora1661lion straight into a stereo Mosvalve, or an Orange Pedal Baby, and into two 112 Bugera Turbosound. Spectacular sound. Turn off the cab sim, and it's a buzz saw sound, just like into an interface. The Turbosound is very transparent, to me, like FRFR.
@ronalddettman2021 Nice! When I first got my Lion I tried running it through the effects loop of my Amp1 but it was not sounding good at all. They say you can run it through the effects loop and use it as multiple stages for your current rig, but after trying that with the Amp1 I was done. Reconfigured my rig for the stage: got a wah and a Klone running into the Lion, lion goes to the eq to boost for solos, then the line splits: one dry and one to an Eventide micropitch delay and the timefactor. Then FOH can adjust the effects level separately. At home, I use a 2 channel FRFR speaker. I have not been this happy with my sound in years!
All these years of surfing TH-cam and I’ve finally found you!
It’s 4 o’ clock in the morning and I have watched this video 5 times already!
I started life with a '73 Super Bass and I'm really interested. I have enough gear to be covered, but, I am intrigued by this unit.
Your best videos are yet to come.
Solid work you’ve done there.
Good video, how does it compare to the Friedman IR-X
How can you compare them? They are totally different!!! The Friedman is way higher gain!
There’s a good video out there if you search. Lion for the win
Continue to upload the quality content!
At last some genuine content!
Best wishes from Nebraska!
Looking forward to seeing your receiving a gold button of TH-cam!
Keep on a good work!
I have it on my pedalboard going into the fx return of my EVH el34, into an EVH 4x12 and it’s amazing. I like it better than the built in EVH preamp

Dude I think that after they put out the first three everyone and their mother hounded UA into making a Marshall
Quite interesting a footage.
Shared this with my roomies.

@@flatusgamora1661 Thanks. That was helpful. I guess I'll just stick with a simple head/ cab or combo.

Can’t stop watching it! What’s wrong with me?!
Looks like you’ve put a lot of effort into this video.
I like your video.
Really appreciate it
Wish we could hang out together some day.
You should be proud of yourself.

A bit sharp and sometimes flat in tuning 😂
Everyone wants lightweight gear that sounds great but there's nothing like a real tube amp with cooking tubes. No digital pedal can capture that.
