As a player who has been playing since the beginning of the first season, I believe that this game is dying. There are so many bugs in it that even if I wanted to, I don't want to play after what I encounter while playing this game. This will probably be the first season in which I don't reach the maximum level, but I must admit that in the last one I did it quite forcefully and not out of my own will.
The lowest mad city reached was very recently and it was 502 players. Mad city is dead. At least during the dry state of the game (may 2021 to july 2022) the game was easily getting 10-15k.
Prison games are not the peak of Roblox unlike 2019 and 2020. Even both JB and MCY have some good and bad updates. The changes of the both game sometimes those returnees/OGs can't embrace it. Problem for MCY, they tease some new stuffs (new Stone Prison, Piggy Launcher, etc.) and just delay it and takes ages to release it. Lack of communication and transparency of the current and upcoming updates, especially if there are issues or something need to change.
I don't think this was such a good way to test this. If you would ask 100 players that played since ch1 it would've been a different story. Most people that joined in ch1 left and more new people (mostly young kids) play this game nowadays. Another reason is that people that play this game still like it. If you ask people that still play they will probably respond with "No, the game isn't dead" and of course some do agree that mad city's dead but most don't. I think mad city is dead as its concurrent player count is very low compared to ch1 and even prior ch2 seasons. Doesn't change the fact thats its a great video tho!

Yes it is, I have been playing since the game came out. Sad seeing a game I played falling off, I miss the old madcity :/
