Keep coming back to this....rare track, used to have the casstte lol..even Spotify doesn't have it....Trower along with Travers tragically underrated and overlooked....and both still putting out greatness...so thanks....🤘
Great video put to this tune... If you never heard Robin Trower, you've never heard the guitar being bent. This guy has so much talent and soul. He makes the guitar sing. Anyone who calls themself a guitar player HAS to have Trower on their playlist. Listen to the soulful sounds come forth from his Fender. It is mind-blowing. I have listened to his music for 37 years. It is timeless. Kudos Robin...and those who are fans.
9 years ago your post, and oh so still true! RT, A unique and truly mezmerizing sound. It is his, and no one else..you recognize it right away…and he never fails to give us his mind, total emotion and body..He is still proving it…Today….💜.
what makes Robin so very special is comments from people in the know. My five year old son said one day when Robin was on that "NO-ONE MAKES THE GUITAR CRY LIKE TROWER" (out of the mouths of babes) and then the amazing Robert Fripp who said that what makes Robin so great is that 'every note matters'. Just two of many in the know.
This is a fantastic track, my first time hearing this one. Robin's guitar prowess can't be compared with any other guitarist, alive or dead. If Jesus played guitar I would imagine he would sound like Robin.
I'm a life long Trower fan and thought I had all of his material until I came across your video. I was lucky enough to find a Guitar Speak II CD Amazon. Thanks for posting this video!
I've seen Robin Trower live 3 times....The first time was in 1976 with Jethro Tull, Rory Gallagher, and Starcastle at the LA Colosseum.....The 2 other times I saw him was at The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana in the early 2000's.....The man is an amazing Legend......
Then again, maybe that's for the best. He hasn't been plastered everywhere, he hasn't been burned out from the pressure, and he's a purist having fun doing what he wants to do. Lucky for us.
C'est tellement Robin Trower sur ce morceau il y a Night, Caravan To Midnight le son emblématique! Excellent titre qui figure sur la compilation Guitar Speak 2
This guy is a wizard. I love the clean sounds that he makes in the background, that comes and goes in the beginning, like they are waves. I rediscovered this song recently from an old MP3 player i have not used in ages, and forgot about this, so glad to hear it again and so glad for this post. pls more tunes like this.
This song, as are all of Robins instrumentals, is light years ahead of their respective times. Despite having a falling out with him, I can only pray him my finest as the Gem god made him & gifted him as unto us all to enjoy and his music to cherish. Remember the statement Dave Mason said to me regarding a prevailing comparo twixt Robin & Stevie Ray ( Robin is closest to Hendryx, style wise, Not as a copier of Hendryx but rather as "A conceptual futurist". Lets remember, Trower is Stll around. Lets honor him for what he is.....The Stratomeister!!!
+FURDOG1961 Missed your question until just now. I know, love &respect Frank as" my brother from Canada.". Frank, Robin, Stevie Ray & A late, super cool player, the Great Ronnie Montrose. Theirs are the faces along with the stylemaster, james Marshall Hendryx be the faces on Mt. Rockmore. As go Frank his path is more purer Hendryxesque. Robin is more akin to Ronnies style of play. Melodic, emotional &conceptual. Thanks for asking. Brian.
OMG I cant believe this I missed the boat on this..I'm a fan since the 70's and remember Trower doing this in 1984 tour, i have a Bootleg of this song along with others from Va beach
By the way, no disrespect to Jesus but Robin has a talent and style that is just so incredible that mere words cannot do it justice. I can only believe that it is God given. Just hope nobody was offended. If anyone was, pray and you'll get over it. Peace :)
Email me at classicrockbeast@yahoo.com if you want a copy of this song in MP3 format. Or any Trower song for that matter..I have everything he ever recorded.

@0marigolds My favourite fellas are ladies, Jo!! I thought stellar was the stars, cosmos a bit bigger maybe? ;-) It's kind-of where I think of RT in the musical fermament. I'm in the UK and getting to see RT twice in Sept: he's touring stateside next year, so hopefully some place near you. Have seen him about 7 times in the last few years - he's getting better every time. A true guitar god, imho. See you also like Santana: lost count after 36 concerts... Kindest regards, Tony
@0marigolds Disagree re the video, fella - it's beyond that, it's cosmic... :-))) As you can see from my 'name' I'm a fan of RT: wonderful wonderful video, Meritman1, and a fitting tribute to this fabulous musician's work. I hadn't heard this recording till today - I have an, um, unofficial concert recording of this so know the tune: terrific stuff, mate, very well done! Tony
@@yurigabrilovich2190 Hey Yuri, completely agree. The heavenly and mesmerizing guitar tone that deserves unbiased recognition from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Worthy of this special distinction.

Listened to robin since the 70s! He gets better all the time. Definitely on all my mix tapes.. Sorry, meant my you tube mixes! Mind blowing music!

And that's a huge compliment coming from Fripp. Who is no slouch on the guitar himself!

You're right. Great song. I never heard this song before!

YAMAHAは何故か美人の店員しか居なかった。2Fはピアノと演奏会の衣装まであった。🎉🎉🎉
I love this stuff!!
Just ordered 4 new (old stock) sealed Robin Trower cassette tapes online. This music must be heard in it's natural analog form!
Old school brother! Like it!

Affluent Hendrixism..
PRE CBS FENDER Hey Thanks for posting this song.
This has been my favourite Trower song since early 1990's.
I like this song "Shame" because the tune kind of makes me shameful and introspective and make me really think about life.
Robin is a brilliant player
... just thanks...
No US tour in 2013:(
Pass the mellow- tonin..
If I knew how to play guitar, this is what I would sound like.
I do hope. Between the styles of Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Joe Satriani, and Alex Lifeson. That is what I wish I would sound like
Yep, you can learn to play the guitar relatively quickly but you can spend your whole life searching for the right tone.
Gerald Moreno .. You have the love right there buddy :-)
The love perhaps, not the talent.
Gerald Moreno, practice makes perfect.
sweet
This sounds good, but very modern. My favorite Trower instrumental song is Islands (1983)
Merit, do you have "Juicy John Pink" -- just a test!
Same as!
I think Hendrix would defer to this man..genius
this is BAD! Robin Trower was/is always one of my favorite "Axe Murderers"😉!
