A knife or 2 is a good start.
😅 I literally just put a reel on the gun I'm testing. Plus the spool is completely full which is totally unnecessary for my home waters.
Another good tip when you’re pulling in line is to put your arm through the bands of your speargun and slowly keep moving away from where the line is collecting
If I can add, importantly feed the line with the current and your body between the oncoming current and line.

Sorry we do not make stainless steel shafts because they cannot make stainless steel as hard and as strong as our high carbon steel. It is the same reason there are very few stainless steel fishing hooks, just not possible to get the high tensile strength to reduce bending.
