Haven't read the book, but I enjoyed the vlog immensly. I love how it's all like quotes with beautiful shots and insightful thoughts one minute, and here's a toilet brush the next, lol.
I really enjoyed Shirley,not knowing what to expect from the author of Jane Eyre with this work.We must also bear in mind that she had to leave off writing the book with the death of her brother and sisters in the space of a year.To return and finish the work with dignity and integrity is a true testament of the strength of her character and qualities as a person.✨
It was so interesting to hear your thoughts on this book! I felt similarly reading The Professor, and I’m curious (but scared) to try Shirley. I’m also impressed that you managed to finish it in 7 days 😆

I do think Shirley is better than the professor… but since the professor is much smaller it was somehow easier. Oh well 😂
