I got spoiled and it still hits like a truck. His talk with the queen afterwards almost isekaied me to Grand Trad as well. In a weird way, Will is the only Atlus protagonist who has a loving parents
I love the moment where the prince states the novel's world isn't a utopia. Every time we see the novel in the game, we as the player think 'if only our world were ACTUALLY like that, but it's not really so perfect.' Then the prince sees our world and comes to the same conclusion, and the music starts.
It's sort of a twofold thing, where the novel isn't a true literal utopia because, one a utopia can't exist, but also there is no perfect idealistic world everyone could ever agree on. The "utopia" the MC seeks, though, isn't a perfect world but a better one. More's utopia not only isn't realistic it's also built off the foundation of the old world, which we know went to shit. Another thematic element of the game is moving forward and not clinging to the past. More/The King not only clings to his former ideals, but the world he learned of through the Elda. More struggles with losing his wife and child, and by extension can't let go of his view of "utopia," because it was one he dreamed of because of his wife and child. So in accepting his son's hope and ambition, and letting him walk his path of suffering- He's also letting go of his own "utopia," and trusting in the ideals of his son. Fuck, is that good writing.
And whoever was reading with Will points it out as well. “Well what if the populace’s choice for ruler is wrong?”, “Well if people has too much freedom, there ought to be someone starting troubles”, etc..
It’s also the first song you hear at the beginning of the game, showing how far you’ve come as well. It was a magic that Gallica makes you hear to ease your anxiety. Now it’s being used to show his determination.
If you have ever had to go against your parents well meaning wishes for you and their overprotection this hits like a truck. More loves him dearly but the MC had to walk his own path
More tries to convince MC that magic is not real. MC argues and hears Gallica's voice. MC probably thought, if I can hear Gallica, then that means I was right to suspect that this is not the real world and that magic does exist. The moment this snaps into place, Gallica's magic pushes through and the background music begins playing. This game is so beautiful. We need DLC expansions like a year again just for being King.
That’s why I think the ending sequence is a bit dissapointing. The stuff you get at the end is bullshitly strong (like, SMT3 boss level of bullshit). I got hyped up before going into Tyrant Star, only for me to literally mop the floor with everything. Then More died in one turn, and Louis got nuked with my Bas/Strohl/Will/Junah bombadier squad
@@KhangNguyen-ij4xh I actually think this particular scene benefits from us being stronger. We prove to More, that our conviction is real. He gave up, crushed by the weight of reality, but we decided to face him head on, and overcome his flawed vision
@@KhangNguyen-ij4xhgod and don't get me started on the Humans cutscene, literally before I cross the point of no return I'm one shotting all of them outside of battles on the hardest difficulty, and yet they're all struggling super hard against them when in a cutscene 😂
This is one of the best scenes in the game, legit gripping stuff, but there was one problem, uh I spent hours getting everything to 99 on those Fishmen, so... But the scene was still cool! 😅
Does the royal magic accelerate the king's aging? Or does the king have will around his 50s, he said that he enter the hidden sanctum in what seems to be in his late 20s/early 30s, which would be when he met the elda chieftess which i assume at the same age as him and we know from the current chieftess that the king and Wills mother enter into relationships almost immediately which means they would have will around their 30's
If I had to guess the king's age might have been increased due to depression over losing his family and stress from his occupation. By the time Louis killed him he had lost all reason to live and thus could have looked even older than he actually was.
More looks 30 ish, and we know Will is 18. So he's at minimum in his late 40s to early 50s. And yeah, depression and not taking care of yourself can do a solid number on your looks, just like a healthy mind and body can do wonders for youthful looks.
Does anyone know where I can listen to this song? I went through the whole soundtrack after fighting him because it slapped so hard but it’s not on the Spotify version at least
Dad trying to save my life and begging me to stay in the fantasy so i wouldnt die had me crying in the club man this game is so phenomenal

why did "You were my first reader!" Hit so hard?

Gotta be the best voice acting in the whole game, More's VA put his SOUL into these scenes. Holy shit.
2:23 anyone else impressed? very good use of music and writing.
this whole exchange is so amazing, More's va absolutely fucking killing every line helps a lot.
@momentoyal930 yes one of the few moments I got goosebumps out of all video games I've played
If you have ever had to go against your parents well meaning wishes for you and their overprotection this hits like a truck. More loves him dearly but the MC had to walk his own path
Best character in the entire game right here

Oh shit More can use Archetype skills? I had no idea, i just Hero Cried, Hero Proving and Royal slashed his ass in one turn 😂

Literally the best boss fight ever

Yeah, farming in this game is really boring, but without that … BANGER.

Well he was depressed af. So I’d say once groomed up he’s be around 45ish years old. That’s not very old

The voice acting in this game is fantastic! 😄
