Hello, glad to meet you, we looked with interest at the former grandeur of this old castle, thank you for the interesting story about its history. Wonderful excursion, impressive drone footage. Friendly greetings from Ukraine, have a good weekend, success!
I really enjoyed your video love learning history wow 🙊40 days sieged yes the wall very thick indeed had to break down, Robert the Bruce was here awesome I love it❤ hope you have a great week my friend 🥰👍🏼 full view 14:46 love #58
Hi Alessa and Brett. What a fantastic Castle ruin. It is a wonder it still stands with the amount of seiges the castle has had. The certainly built Castles well in those days. Great history and a lovely narration Alessa, the drone footage was stunning as always. Take care and have a great week xx Julie and Tony, oh and Archie xx
A very nice place to visit! Such a great view of Walking Tour Norham Castle, an excellent share my friend. Thank you for taking us to his awesome place ....
Enjoyed seeing what remains of the castle, Alessa and Brett. Amazing blo_dy history. Surprised this much remains after 18 tough battles! But with walls 28 feet think it was built to withstand so much more than time! Loved the tour.
Glad you enjoyed it, this place was amazing to walk around and through. Thanks for joining along with us and your constant support Dave and Kathy xx 😊📌
Wow amazing ! 8 battles and 28 feet thick walls 😱 This must have been so impressive and beautiful in its day. I used to think it would be so romantic and cool to live in a castle back then but your videos have changed my mind about that considerably!! It’s given me a reality check that it was tough back in those days ! I loved the video, the drone shots and the story behind this great old castle as always. 👏🤩👍
Glad you enjoyed it Dave, can only appreciate your kindness always. Its incredible to think that these castles were just for the posh and prim but in reality it was a bloody hard gruel working tirelessly to keep these places like they are! Not only that but the craftsmanship that goes into building and construction of these ruins would have been so tough without our modern day tools. Thank.you again. Wishing you wonderful week ahead
Hello, guys and happy new week! Another wonderful discovery to enjoy through your eyes, my friends! As you know I just loooove this kind of historical places! They're fgull of charm and emotions to me. The history of this fortress is lond and hard. Nice to have the chance to see it nowadays! As always a fantastic presentation to enjoy till the end! Hugs and all the best, my friends and my huge like! Renata
It sounds like this castle has been through a lot. I enjoyed your wonderful narration of its history. At least part of the castle still stands and you can see how grand it once was. Thank you for the wonderful tour. 👍😊🇨🇦
Hi Alessa & Brett! I really enjoyed your telling of the history of Norham Castle. It has certainly had a violent and bloody history. Wow, invaded eight times?! It's amazing there's still some of it standing. As always, the drone footage was absolutely spectacular. Thank you for your very interesting vlog ❤
Another amazing castle with a beautiful information you’ve been shared 👍. Top views always breathtaking ❤️ thank you Brett. Have a nice day. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Wow can’t believe this one experienced 18 sieges and still looks like it does! So much still standing! Superb as always and looks incredible from above! Have a great time on your next adventures in Kent we look forward to seeing them 👍 travel safe
Hi Alessa, Another incredible history and impressive castle walking & drone tour. The ruin but is still stands proudly as if is proves the bitter history. OMGoodness, I see the thickness of wall from land and sky Again Thank you for educating me, Alessa. Aerial footage is as always spectacular, Brett. I was out filming my 9 mile hike yesterday, and I am exhausted. Sorry I am just laying back watching you and Brett's art of work here. I also noticed many of my comment was not seen, turning white/hidden.???
Fantastic castle 😊 I can’t believe it’s withstood so much, really is amazing that it is even still standing today. Great information and fab that it is free as well to visit. Looks like it’s a must see if in the area 😊
Thanks for an informative video about the castle at the end of my street. Just an update for people who may want to visit, access through the Marmion gate is currently restricted due to issues with the footbridge.
Thank you kindly Trevor for watching, Norham is such an impressive and important castle! Shame about the access but great that you mentioned it!! Have a wonderful week!
Loved this one. Probably did it on the same trip as Etal... So much better with a drone. I don't think I even saw the River Tweet from the castle itself.
Oh yes, as etal was round the corner was rude not too. This place is quite impressive considering, loved the history and seeing it from the aerials really shows it off! Thank you for commenting and watching
Hi Alessa. Sorry I missed the premiere and just catching up. Absolutely crazy to think that it has faced so much military action. The keep was amazing but again sad that we don’t get to see it in all its glory. Never heard of walls 28’ thick 😳
Heya Phil. Not a problem, ever! Can only appreciate your time and support when you can :D life gets busy!! It's incredible to learn about the amount of sieges this castle withstood..amazing craftsmanship on building it, not like today heh! Thank you again for watching!
Flambard reminds of that TV series from the 80 The Flambards. It's still in decent shape considering the number of times it's been besieged tho been renovated a few times. Nature seems to have taken over a bit of it. Looks a huge place and awesome from above. Thanks for the in depth research and narration 👍
Thank you Paul! Oo I've not heard or seen the TV series, will give it a watch if I can find it! It's quite a remarkable place, but I found the history was just mind blowing and not many people know about Norham. Thank you again. For watching 👀 😀 appreciate you
WoW... Never heard of, nor seen this castle before now... Thank-you for bringing this to my attention. It looks a fantastic castle. I wonder what it was like living there throughout the ages... p.s. I think Berwick Castle is pronounced "Berwick" Castle, as most 'Brutish' place-names ending in "______wick" the 'w' is silent. Examples are: Alnwick is "Annick", Southwark is "Suthuk", Woolwich and Greenwich are: "Woolitch" and "Grinnitch" respectively ...etc.
