Cool beans. I have two questions: Who is Jeff Lorber? Is this music minus drums? Well that was two questions right there but the second question was going about when you go to the hi hat it seems like sometimes you hit the snare with your right hand but it looks like other times you come off the hi-hat with your left to hit the snare. Is that by design? Thanks for the share.
Thanks Steve. This is Jeff Lorber: www.lorber.com/ Popular guy. There's an app I told you about, Moises. You can make any tune minus drums. moises.ai/ Best 4 bucks a month I ever spent.. As far as which hand I hit the snare with, I really don't put much thought into the process. Pretty much just happens depending on where I'm going next. Vinnie C. said it best: "Thought is the enemy of flow" Although some days, it seems easier to do than others. Depending on how challenging the tune is for me.
@@KyleAnastasio Thanks for the links. I agree with not over thinking and I was just telling a student today to think of drumming as a wheel that is spinning; you shouldn't be able to see the spokes on the wheel when it is in fluid motion but as soon as you start to slow the wheel down and see the spokes (limbs in our case) that's when we start to mess up. Now I just have to follow my own advice bbwwaaa haa!
Thank you 😎🎶
