Former freelance writer….yeah….so much work for so little pay. I tried it for five years and write some pretty damn good pieces, interviewed a state Supreme Court just, a governor, had 17 cover stories in fairly large newspapers…blah blah. I made 4700.00 us in five years. It was depressing and I had to give it up. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts. I really enjoy your channel.

Thanks for sharing. I had a major panic attack at work following an extended period of stress. This really resonates with me in terms of my recovery. Getting new and thrifted clothes has been a huge help. As you say it says you are moving forward, being positive about yourself and the future. The outside reflecting how you feel inside. Stay strong and All the Best.

It's very brave of you to be so open about your struggles, and hopefully others with issues will get strength from your positivity. It's especially difficult for young men to be open and share, and I hope more of us do, inspired by you.

Luke, thanks for this. Been following for a while and haven't seen this before. Very interesting. I'm moving back to Dublin (actually wanted to move back to London but can't for boring reason) after 20 years in Shanghai and the stress is having a very similar effect on me that you describe. Most notably is the realisation that loud noises freak me out. I couldn't understand why. It's like I have PTSD even though I haven't been in a war.

Hi Luke, a bit late to the party but only recently caught up with your Channel?. Watched a few of your blogs over the past weeks but only caught up with this one today.
So brave to put this out mate . Keep it up as really like your videos; like photography too. As a bloke who considers himself a your looking and quite stylish older guy in his early 60’s, I appreciate the advice. My top two tips I follow; 1) keep the weight off with diet and exercise and 2) always wear navy blue 😀.
Thanks for introducing me to brown 😀. Recently bought a lovely pecan brown long sleeve Reiss polo shirt🎉.
Chin up mate, you are a good looking, healthy guy - keep moving forward and look after your mental health. 👍
