Have a good run in Copenhagen Luis. Dragged my 63 year old legs round the Cheshire half marathon in 1.48 on 11/9/22.!!! See a lot more people running in Vapour Fly and other super shoes on these smaller local races in the UK now. Somehow don't think I'd get down to 3.15 kilometres if I used a super shoe though!! 😊
Insane to see how small his aerobic to anaerobic windows is. 3:15 like it's nothing and only 10 seconds faster it's hard. My window for this is 30 to 45 seconds, I think. Insane
Following Luis on IG has been insane this year, and super inspirational. Just 1000% work that always leaves me wondering how he stays so strong through it all.
Great content and athlete. Surprised about 2 things: 1) Has he considered jet lag? He arrives dangerously close to the race. 2) Fueling during practice. He took 25gr for around a 1 hour effort (inkl warm up&down) - leaving him with a big calorie & glucose gap. Would’ve expected at least 80-100gr. See you in Copenhagen! :-)
One hour training without carbs should not be a problem for elites nor us non-elites. But I think that jet lag might have done it's deed on Sunday, no records broken this time.
So, I recently saw this video and noticed that Luis seems to have an anterior pelvic tilt while he runs. I applied the same to my run and I noticed that my running form has become more effortless and smooth, but I also read that having an anterior pelvic tilt is not great for running. Could someone provide insight for me?
Yo Great session but you got to relax a little more and your flow will be perfect. I ran 23.19 for the 5mile but this kind of speed can only be accomplished when your 2k are done with balance split. I am going to get back to racing and am looking at rhe marathon in January 2024
Cant belive he was sitting at 3:20 pace casually talking then said “okay its time to actually start working I cant believe he is 52kg im 57.5kg and i thought i was light (5ft 8)
Thanks for the company and help Matt! Also thanks to everyone for watching the videos and supporting our running! You guys rock!
Luis.. incredible inspiration man! Best of luck for the race
Most humble guy I’ve ever seen♥️♥️♥️
Keep going Sir.
Let’s go beyond the limit🍀🍀
Good luck in Copenhagen!
You’re a beast, suffer well out there, Luis!!
Looking forward to having you here in Copenhagen. Hope you have a great race, Luis. I'll be behind the camera on race day. 🤘🔥
Incredible, 5.20 mile pace, and Luis is chatting away like he’s gone out for a jog……wow! 👏😎🏃🏼
i said the same thing lol
It is a jog for him 😄
It’s not a jog at that level, it all feels fast and difficult but the exertion is just different
Insane
Being able to talk at 3:20 pace.when i can barely breath at 4:20 pace is awsome
There's levels to this game (Y)
@@josephstockwell3215 succinct way to put it. I am always surprised people are surprised they are not similar to the best.
@@mjscpr Most of us mere mortals could not run 1km @ 3:20/km and talk throughout. Let alone 15km.
Of all the athletes we've met through Sweat Elite videos, Luis has to be my favourite. Seems like such a great, positive guy.
Noted how many people in the background he waved to throughout the video. He seems like one of those super chilled, positive and friendly dudes.
Chatting away during 3:20 pace. What an absolute mad man……
Luis is a beast!!! Definitely going to be looking forward to how he does in Copenhagen!!
When people say to run at a pace when you can talk to others… this guy takes that to another level
Luis Orta is obsessed with doing every run a progressive run
He's part Kenyan now
He is a beast!! Love his training and mindset. Gives me hope for my next race to see someone grinding!! Love this content
He is a source of motivation for me.
Fantastic athlete and person; making other people's dream come true!

Luis orta is outstanding...i love his dedication and hardwork...❣️
Love seeing this guy on the channel again!
What a beast, chatting away at 3:20/km pace -- OMG!
Love all the videos featuring Orta.
Straight up cake walk for this dude like he's celebrating a party. Watching your videos motivates me to push my pace more.
Good luck in Copenhagen. Class act. 👏
Such an amazing athlete and person!

Insane
3:05 is definitely not anaerobic for him. He’s run 28:32 for the 10km, so his Anaerobic threshold pace (1hr max effort) would roughly be 2:57/km.
And his vVO2max (speed at maximal oxygen intake) is probably sub 2:40 per km. Increasing this pace requires fully anaerobic energy contributions.
@@msb1500m thanks, I didn't know his paces that well. As I said.... Insane :)
@@msb1500m and to think kipchoge runs his anaerobic pace with mouth closed for 2 hours is even more insane
He ran Copenhagen HM in 3.08 pace so 3.05 must be close to the 2nd lactate turning point for him.
For a second I thought this was a repost, but always happy to see Luis
Managed to answer questions!! It's insane man! Well done
Luis talking and smiling while “jogging” at 3:20 per k …. LOL
Amazing athlete, even better person!
Let’s go Luis 🔥
another great video with Luis, always getting me pumped to run. dude's amazing!
The more content i see from Luis, the more I want to see him win big races - such a great guy!
He is sadly, probably never going to win a major marathon.
Met him at the CIM finish line last year, super nice guy and very inspiring! Will be rooting for you to PR in Copenhagen.
Vamos Luís! Lo puedes conseguir!
Saludos Luis desde California, buenos entrenamientos
The beauty of a good trainer.
I can not jogg or run and talk 😂🤣😂 makes me breathless. well done. great run from 🇩🇪
Chatting at those paces 😳👏🏻
Top guy, Luis Orta. Hope you get the PR you have worked for.
awesome video! Always happy to see Luis in the videos

i'm stealing all the workouts i've seen here haha best channel
i'm not gonna be talking while i'm running 4:15 per KM tho lol

Imagine walking, and see a person chating at this pace😂
Unreal!

Running a 5 minute pace and having a conversation is wild..Id be at max effort and heavily breathing
Amazing aerobic base.
God of runner Luis orta amazing jobs
🤯🤯🤯 this is next level
Good running sir ❤️
GOOD RACE LUIS GOD BLESS YOU.
"Just 3:20 to start" ... my god, that would kill me lol. 3:20 is conversation pace for him, ooouff
Happy to announce that I Just broke Luis Orta's Venezuelan Half Marathon record on cycle.
Que grande ...
I hope he achieves his goal.
Magnifique !
what a legend!
Very nice👍👍👏

Q: Did he pause the workout to take off his shirt or did he keep running at that pace? :)
I m from India 🇮🇳 tell me from where do i buy his running shoe??????
Running style is hilarious 😂
Bruuutalll
Why not run on the grass and dirt to lower impact ?
Yo

На темпе 3:00 какой у тебя пульс?
How the hell could he talk like that during the run? Haha. Super impressive.
Veri nice high cadence
Noticing how this guy and Kipchoge and similar others switch pairs after warmup.
at that pace, i couldnt speak at all 😂
สุด
3:10 and still chatting.
🙋🏻♂️🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
😲👍
