- 'पचपन खम्बे लाल दीवारें' उषा प्रियम्वदा के उपन्यास पर आधारित एक सीरियल है। इसमें एक भारतीय नारी की सामाजिक-आर्थिक विवशताओं से जन्मी मानसिक यंत्रणा का बड़ा ही मार्मिक चित्रण हुआ है।
छात्रावास के पचपन खम्भे और लाल दीवारें उन परिस्थितियों की प्रतीक हैं जिनमें रहकर सुषमा को ऊब तथा घुटन का तीखा एहसास होता हैं, लेकिन फिर भी वह उनसे मुक्त नहीं हो पाती, शायद होना नहीं चाहती, उन परिस्तिथियों के बीच जीना ही उसकी नियति है।
आधुनिक जीवन की यह एक बड़ी विडंबना है कि जो हम नहीं चाहते, वही करने को विवश है।

Lockdown ka ek fayda yeh bhi hai ki Ekta Kapoor ki kachra factory band ho gayi kuch dinon ke liye. I saw this episode only but it is so realistic. Many working girls are emotionally and economically exploited by their families.

Based on a novel by Usha Priyamvada, the title alludes to the 55 pillars and red walled building of Lady Sri Ram College in Delhi. Sushma, played winningly by Meeta Vashisht, Actor Aman Verma made his debut in the world of acting through this serial.

Jo wo repeat mai dikha skte the lakin Inhone dobara nhi dikhaya jabki inke paas koi content bhi nhi tha yea log kuch selected showz ko hi repeat krte rhe cuntinusly , Doordarshan destroyed themselves just like other Govt venture like Bsnl,Mtnl, etc
I was in the 4th standard when this was shown in Doordarshan. How the soaps and serials have become these days. HELL OF A DIFFERENCE! most of the times it’s a true saying-OLD IS GOLD!!☘️😥

Aman was my classmate. We were surprised to see him in serials . This was his first. It's pure nostalgia. Serials back then were so real like ,unfiltered. Udaan, fir wahi talaash, nukkad, Rajni.....the list is endless.

Based on a novel by Usha Priyamvada, the title alludes to the 55 pillars and red walled building of Lady Sri Ram College in Delhi. Sushma, played winningly by Meeta Vashisht, teaches in a college. She is single, lives independently and is the sole bread winner of her family. She falls in love with a much younger man, Neel, played by Aman Verma. Sushma eventually has to make the sad and tough choice of breaking off with her lover, because of her family situation, but she remains graceful and certain of her choice. She never seen as helpless and pathetic.
Compare it to similar recent shows like Jyoti, where the girl plays the stereotypical self-sacrificing woman, and Hitler Didi, where the girl has to become the ‘man’ of the house and hence be irrationally harsh and cold. Both pander to the patriarchal view of the single women, propped by relentlessly evil families which renders the informed choice of the female protagonist moot!

I remember to watch this serial during my school days and i find name of this serial quite strange but attractive too as the story of this serial. Being a mature person even at that age i liked this serial back then and also the charming aman verma😂🤭as a crush. Mae to is siriyal ko kabhi bhuli hi nahi,kiunki iska ant maene nahi dekha pata nahi kiun,kiunki jab bhi Aman varma ko dekhti hoon to ye siriyal yad aajata hai.kiunki Aman Varma ko pehli bar isi me dekha tha.
pehle jo actor ya siriyal achha lagta tha, siriyal band ho jata aur actor Doordarshan chhor dete,aur hamare pas Dist tha nahi.jab se private chennal shuru hua,aazadi k nam par maryada khatm hi ho gaya.
The quality of telecast was so on low resolution so was shooting which shouldn't be, television and cinema must be on high def.
