LOL In the real world of fishing on our island, sometimes if you want to get rid of gear, you go down to your boat at night and then take that gear off your boatand take it to someone else's boat and put it in there LOL
you can put the line onto the back of the boat, save, and reload, and it will be gone. Do that four times. Or just put them into the water and save and reload, but that'll take longer

Ive noticed that if you have a fish that is out of season on the line it wont let you grab it with the hook
Thats a good point for why they can't get pulled in...though feedback of some kind would be helpful.... but a catch and return out of season fish makes allot of sense.

They need to fix the fish hooking minigame 😭 lol
With the long line fishing you need to aim for the hook and not the fish and you should have higher success.

Everything is max settings for me. I think the rain just happens.
things that mostly worked in previous games, like long line fishing, are inexcusable to be broken in the new game. im just as frustrated watching you play as you are playing it.
It is a completely new build on a completely new engine, you can't just copy and paste it over.
@@TheHomeOfEverythingSimulation I wasn't suggesting a simple copy and paste. They are on fishing game #3, and this is what they released. Previous games functionally were better. I can appreciate the early access tag, but if they have 2 games that do a specific action properly, it's a bit difficult to excuse game #3 not doing that same action properly.

@@TheHomeOfEverythingSimulation nope, but they've done it twice before. and i paid them both times to do it; wasn't gifted a key.
Exactly, you have no clue how hard it is. Building a game from scratch and trying to improve in the last and impress everyone. It's early access, give them time.
The hit boxes need to be fixed for sure. Even getting into the boat from the dock is iffy sometimes. And I would see if some of the fish that you are missing are out of season.
Try selling the long line rigging in the shipyard, or go to the fish market (where you buy the bait and long lines) empty handed. I'm certain you sell them through a menu.
Good that they have fast travel now.
You can't sell through the menu but you can carry them into the shipyard and they disappear.

Well I have been enjoying watching, and feel very sorry for you and your frustrations!! I admit, where is the lobstering?? Fish pots? In actual long lining the release point is different, and some systems have a small hand hook where you pull it very close to the spool. Still learning how to play FNA and your videos are great! Thanks for your efforts!!
When I do long lines (2500 hooks) , I do it in a folding fan pattern and run 2 lines besides each other. Point A to B and B back to A and A to C and C back to A, and so on, No empty running and easy to pick up. Takes about 10h of game time to put out.
So like a plus pattern but one line out than one line back, so 8 lines?

I think when its not flat it should be harder, balance is hard! Currently earns to much but enjoy!¬
zoom in and put your cursor on the - or + symbols on the fish finder you can change the lightness or the darkness
