Same here!! I literally picked up Star Lord, Mantis and Rocket and am going to pick up the rest of the team soon, there’s something about their matching uniforms that’s just so cool!
I'll be doing a head swap for sure. I'll have to wait to see if I can mod the old tail to fit on the new body though. I have a Vol. 2 Rocket from the Disney park Cosmic Rewind boxed set and the color on that blue jumpsuit is more like the original Vol. 2 release with lighter tan belts and shoulder pads and lighter fur color but with black trim on the legs and abdomen like the Infinity War three pack. It's a really nice in-between coloration of the two. I did add the belt and hip pouches he wore in Vol. 2 though. I just wish they ad released rocket in the Endgame costume, lol. I wanted the scarf and goggles. As for Cosmo, I don't usually go for BAF's but...I WILL get Cosmo, lol.
The new one's headsculpt is literally just a grizzly bear. It doesn't have the characteristic black paint around the eyes that a raccoon is supposed to have.
Great review! I think the eyes are too large and not recessed enough for Rocket. It’s probably why it looks so strange. The team looks pretty awesome together.
I'll admit as a lover of the 2008 comic and EMH, I do really like seeing them all lined up together. I'm not sure if I need more GotG figures or not. I've moved away from MCU and just looking for generalist definitive shelf appeal. Select Rocket kinda hits all the marks for ne.
I like this rocket raccoon. But the price is high. If I would of known the figure was this small I wouldn't of bought it. They really took my money there. Sheesh. Its like a vintage collection size.

2:03 In the render on the box, the lower legs are painted blue above the boots. 5:32 They're unpainted on the figure.
this figure looks nice btw and the head is not looking too bad though....ig thats okay

Rocker is dark brown with a black part under the eyes. the new one is just a plain, darker brown so it looks less-realistic
