Discover the beauty of Akebia quinata, the chocolate vine, native to Japan, China and Korea.
This evergreen or semi-evergreen climber can reach up to 10 metres in height and has five-lobed leaves and maroon-coloured flowers with a chocolatey scent. The Californian lilac, Ceanothus, is a stunning addition to any garden, with its powder puff blue flowers that bring the bush to life in spring and early summer. For a bright and cheery look all year round, try Euonymus 'Emerald 'n' Gold', with its bright yellow and green evergreen leaves. In winter, the silk tassel bush, Garrya elliptica, is transformed with its long, silky, pale grey catkins. Finally, the passion flower is an exotic-looking plant with bright flowers and an intriguing story. Plant it in the sun or shade and watch it come to life.
