I feel so sorry for Minji. Not just because she has to do an insane amount of work at 15 but because of how sad she was when she requested her parents to acknowledge her, talk to her lovingly, laugh at her jokes and all. Parents don't often realize it when they are ignoring a child like that. They need to conplement them, laugh with them, appreciate them if they do aomething good. It is extremely sad and depressing for the child when they dont do this.
I cried about the Eugene thing, like he said he sacrificed himself for the people of korea. Yet they still discriminate him.. It is upsetting that humans cannot see every single people the same, since we are all humans afterall. However, we cannot change that part in humans to be discriminatory. I support Eugene, I think Song Hae really touched him because he did not look at him as a different person just like his father in law. In the United States, blackface was used as part of Minstrel Shows, which is basically a comedy show where the only jokes made where about black people and saying stereotypical things and being racist against then. It was incredibly fucking offensive. Blackface was also used on stage or screen so that a show could have black characters, without having to actually, you know, hire black people. The white actors would then usually play up negative black stereotypes in the process. So there is a lot of history of blackface being used as a method of mocking black people. If you don't think black face is a problem, then you're crazy. Being half black myself and having a black father and grandparents, they tell me horrible things that. We're portrayed by black face. First of all I love teen top! Second, the brother obsession thing was pretty disturbing especially with all those different kisses that only couples should be doing. He's a pretty lonely guy and I felt like his sister met his needs as a girlfriend and sister. Third, Min Ji is so sad given all those chores... it first started with wanting attention and compliments from her parents then it became habitual and just plain selfishness from her parents. I grew up doing house chores too but I was lucky to have three other sisters that helped, but Min Ji only has herself! Poor her! I'm glad Niel was able to cheer for her.
Listening to Minji's story angered me and saddened me. How can they make their do everything? I feel like things should be split even so everyone has their own time to enjoy life. I have same concern as Minji. I'm 8 years old since I first cooked rice. I also planted rice at the age of 8. And as I grow older, my job has become bigger, I am doing all household chores at the age of 10 and now I am 15, I do take all reaponsibilities in our house, even taking care of my siblings and cousins. I also have a part time job. In whole 4 years, I only spent 1 day with my friends.

I'm always amazed with Hello Counselor. Not only it gives us entertainment, it's effectively helps families in Korea solving their problem, and it's a very meaningful thing to do, seriously. Not all of the problems can be solved inside families or friends, sometimes people need other people judgement to understand what they did wrong. Minji in the last concern... when she said that her mother told her to clean up again after she had done spring cleaning all by herself, I teared up hearing that :'( Parents don't realize it a lot of the time, but compliments and positive support are so major in making their child happy. I have a cousin who is half black and half korean, and she can never come to korea because of the discrimination against her and her family. It's quite sad really. Oh my gosh I totally relate that third one. My dad is exactly like that. Nothing is ever his fault and he always blames my mother, sister and I in very similar situations. When we try to argue he yells more and it's like fighting a losing battle. My mom is like the mom too. She's always afraid of getting blamed and fighting and she wants to divorce too. We're all distanced from my dad and we want him out of our lives.

First of all I love teen top! Second, the brother obsession thing was pretty disturbing especially with all those different kisses that only couples should be doing. He's a pretty lonely guy and I felt like his sister met his needs as a girlfriend and sister. Third, Min Ji is so sad given all those chores... it first started with wanting attention and compliments from her parents then it became habitual and just plain selfishness from her parents. I grew up doing house chores too but I was lucky to have three other sisters that helped, but Min Ji only has herself! Poor her! I'm glad Niel was able to cheer for her.

I have same concern as Minji. I'm 8 years old since I first cooked rice. I also planted rice at the age of 8. And as I grow older, my job has become bigger, I am doing all household chores at the age of 10 and now I am 15, I do take all reaponsibilities in our house, even taking care of my siblings and cousins. I also have a part time job. In whole 4 years, I only spent 1 day with my friends.

the second and fourth concern was wooow , for the first concern at first i thought maybe her brother love her in a romantic way but when i listened to her and her fiance he didn't seemed like that but absolutely there is something wrong with him , uhh i don't know what to say it is so nice to find a brother who love and take care of you but he passed the limit she is really amazing to bear him all this time and her fiance was super amazing to accept her like this and being by her side , he is a real prince .

I have a cousin who is half black and half korean, and she can never come to korea because of the discrimination against her and her family. It's quite sad really. Let me just say that i find it really annoying when men say a woman is theirs "she's mine" (or in the brother's case, her cheeks are his), like, no. She belongs to no one but herself. I know korea is still very conservative and sexist when it comes to woman and gender roles but damn, how can people say they own someone with a straight face like that.

I feel for the 15 year old girl. I did a lot house work when I was young, I also worked at my family's restaurant(s) at a young age, and having school on top of it.

The brother is seriously a creep, not being rude or anything but he really needs to find a girl and have his own family and let his sister get on with her life like a normal woman who's about to get married. Lets be frank, who in this day and age; actually when is it ever appropriate for someone to intrude on a honeymoon? I think he's completely illogical and the whole possessive thing makes me think he may need a bit of psychiatric help.

The Eugene story made me tear up. The brother needs help and his sister probably does too. The blaming father and his family need help. I am proud of Minji and think her parents have done a good job raising a capable daughter. It's shouldn't be surprising for a 15 year old (male or female) to know how to cook. Of course they should help out and she shouldn't carry such heavy loads. She is too burdened. Also, they should get that little sister to help her out. Overall, they should offer free counseling to people instead of money. Seriously.

I hardly ever seen or heard any close brother-sister relationship, where older brother kissess their sister on the forehead or cheeks, but on the lips is ridicilous, I feel that the Brother is in love with his sister, does he maybe have an disorder or something? I feel really sorry for her husband though, under all that pressure, having to look out what he is doing when dating, his brave enough to even marry the girl. Also him not caring about this kissing and holding hand issue is wierd.

This sort of relationship between the brother and sister should not continue. It's degrading towards the sister, soon-to-be bride and wife. He does NOT OWN her. She has the right to live her life the way she wants to live it. She does not belong to anyone, especially her brother. As for the fiance, he shouldn't have agreed to those ridiculous terms on that ridiculous contract. His heart was in the right place, but his soon-to-be brother in law is out his mind! As for the student's situation, she is not the adult of the family. Her parents are not the babies. She is the baby. They should be taking care of her. What is the mother doing? What is the father doing? From what I heard, they sound pretty lousy to me. Watching the parents sit in the audience and come up with excuses to save their skins and pride was almost as embarrassing and cringe-worthy as it was to hear how incestuous this brother was/is acting towards his younger sister. I hope for these issues to get sorted out for these families. It's unhealthy.
Oh my gosh I totally relate that third one. My dad is exactly like that. Nothing is ever his fault and he always blames my mother, sister and I in very similar situations. When we try to argue he yells more and it's like fighting a losing battle. My mom is like the mom too. She's always afraid of getting blamed and fighting and she wants to divorce too. We're all distanced from my dad and we want him out of our lives.
