I have 2 in the kitchen going 24/7. Absolutely love them. Bit too small but when you are under them or close on a stinking hot day it's heaven. Also circulates the cool air from the a/cs in the other rooms around. Not wobbly, not noisy and perfect for smaller areas. A few around the house has definitely helped cool things down alot more. I'm watching this while sitting under my ceiling fan that has four light bulb sockets. Am I crazy to imagine having the fan going with one of these socket fans screwed into all four of the light bulb sockets to create some super vortex tornado force that can cause the Earth's rotation to go in reverse or create enough force to lift my entire house off its foundation and send me flying through the air...

I guess I'm the first and only one to notice the fan spins clockwise, righty-tighty. That means the startup torque will make the base spin counterclockwise, lefty-loosy, and will unscrew after a few dozen starts.

No, all the new LED fixtures are pretty much strip lights inside and not accessible. I work in the industry and people ask this question quite a bit. I think the reason they are not replaceable is that they figure these LED strips will last 15 to 30 years.
You cannot replace it. It's an LED strip inside. The good news is that it should have a modern driver and some people estimate them to last up to 20 years.
These types of LED lights do not have bulbs. They just have LED strips inside of them. They are designed to last for about 30 years. If they go bad you just have to toss it in the trash.
You can leave the wall swith on all the time and use the remote for the fan and light power. You can have all power on or just the fan or light. There's 3 settings for each, at least on mine.
I agree. Light temperature/color temperature is important to a lot of people. That why I think this would be best used in a shed or a situation where lighting is more utility than for a living space like a bathroom or family room.
I have one .. bought it a year ago. Worked great but. Ow the light blew and cannot find out what replacement bulb to use or even how to take the cover of to change it. I have tried to google it and there is nothing to show ..
My house is 100 years old. Most urban homes were built with those light sockets. Thanks for the video. I am going to buy it for my son’s bedroom, probably the size of a wooden shed I suppose. 👍🏻
I'd guess 50% of garages out there still have them, unless someone switches them out for outlets to hang LED shop lights. And almost every house recently built has recessed lighting - these will pop right into those 😁 I get what you're saying though... THAT (surface-mount) style socket inside your home is hardly as common anymore.

Don't know if you know but most regular ceiling mounted fans have a reverse fan switch. One direction draws air up for summer to circulate the hot air, and the other pushes it down to bring down the hot air. for the winter.

@@jonbee5780 My comment doesn't make sense? I can only explain it to you, I can't understand it for you. I have been an electrician for 32 years. Does the setting stay the same after turning the switch off or do you need to set every light and speed every time
This fan light stays at whatever setting you leave it on. Very nice feature.
Does the Fan turn back on automatically if you turn the light switch off and on? @tonysreviews
Can you install this into a can light?
Maybe a very very large one.
I have been wanting to try one of those out
Nice review. Is the light attached to the fan user replaceable?
No, all the new LED fixtures are pretty much strip lights inside and not accessible. I work in the industry and people ask this question quite a bit.
I think the reason they are not replaceable is that they figure these LED strips will last 15 to 30 years.

Can this light fan be connected to 220v socket?
No.
how do you change the light bulb in it?

You can't. It's just an LED strip inside that lamp.
I just picked this one up. I like the fan part. But im not happy with the light part. I dont like the color the light pits out or glare that it makes.
I agree. Light temperature/color temperature is important to a lot of people. That why I think this would be best used in a shed or a situation where lighting is more utility than for a living space like a bathroom or family room.
Yeah, I figure next year they will have an upgrade to the fan where you can choose between this horrible white light and a "warmer" light
Yea I'm pretty sure there are ones with warm, white options now
Can you turn the light off and keep the fan on?
Yes. And they work great.
Does this thing work with a dimmer switch?
I don't think so.

Yes. That's how I use mine.
