Thanks for the review Paul, I really like mine, Im more impressed than I thought I would be with it.
You and me both!
Great video Paul, I will definitely be checking out this meter.
I have one of these and it produces massive RFI in the 40 meter band!
thanks that is a nice one I will buy one in the near future 73´
Just a pity it doesn’t cover VHF/UHF like the Nissei DG-503
Is there anywhere that states what it actually covers ?
Its hard to choose that one of thr Nissei digital vhf uhf meter help haha
Meter injects super bad noise onto the signals. Faulty out of the box and I had to return mine.
Nice little meter. You may want to hot glue a lead weight to the bottom to give it some heft.
☮ brother.
Hello I got mine 2day, Like it very much so far, Ron, N8DUK Columbus, Ohio
Please let me know if you encounter any issues with yours.
Sad but it does not show that it will give correct reading for peak power SSB
I have this meter and it did restart every time i went over 70 watts on battery, not with the charger Connected. The text SWR and FWD change to Chinese text when i go over 125 watts. I changed the battery to a 5000 mAh and it looks like it is stable now and will not restart as long as the battery power is good, but i have to live with the Chinese text(i dont care to much ). The charger give some noise but not all the time, no noise on battery. Banggood wouldn't give me a refund or exchange it for a new one(i am done with Banggood). But i am happy with it now as long as it works? It is maybe the most beautiful SWR meter on the marked i think so it is sad it dosent work as it should. The bilt quality is good.
Your firmware version is 1.04, mine is V1.02, I don't have the ability to input my call but everything else looks the same.
Do you ever see Chinese characters on screen while transmitting?
@@learnelectronicsNo Chinese in TX.
Interesting. I'm guessing it comes from my amp. Probably some stray RF. I'll get some ferites on the line. Thank you.
FWD and SWR changes to Chinese characters on mine when i go over 125 watts. It will also restart all the time if it only runs on battery when i go over 125 watts. So the charger must be plugged in to work properly. Firmware on mine is V1.03
Looks like a pretty decent meter, but gosh.... couldn't they have used a slashed-zero font? Lots of wasted space in that box as well, could have been much more compact for portable use. Pretty decent, and I've seen much worse. Thanks for the video review.
CQV-SWR120 is a nice small, 100 watt SWR meter with an OLED display that works great for portable ops. And it's about half the price.
Nice SWR Meter but how it's working in SSB/AM peak power reading? Thanks for the Video. 👍
I cannot recommend this product. After one week the charging system failed. I'm currently making a revised video.
@@learnelectronicsmany thanks for the info mate. I have the CQV SWR 120 in two Versions which work quite well. But peak readings are a problem. I have a Chinese Surecom SWR 28 here which has a peak reading mode, but it shows absolutly high readings that i can not believe. AVG mode readings are good, but peaks are fantasy.
Quindi lo sconsigli?@@learnelectronics
hello Paul, learnelectronics, Do you know if the manufacture of this wattmeter makes a vhf/uhf version?? please advise, tnx
I don't believe so.
Com este medidor de potência eu consigo fazer medições na frequência de 76 a 110 MHz em FM comercial
E affidabile? Come si il software?
How do you upgrade the firmware?
I don't know, and I've had a failure with the charging system
Cool
A max of only 200 watts?
That is correct.
Does your meter create noise? E.g. th-cam.com/video/P4eouBD4i0E/w-d-xo.html
