Im definitely not a good pilot l, but when I do get on a chopper in BF2042 there are at least 2 Lis rockets targeting me every 5 seconds. Not to mention spawn camping AAs and Laser Tanks. Its insane
The Lis missiles are the most annoying thing in the world LOL. I'm putting a video out within the next couple days that's a montage of my Lis missile hits.
It is really enjoyable to use on the big map with 128 people. But now the maps are getting smaller due to the number of players and the space for helicopter is very tight.
Yeah... I wish they would've kept the old version of this map as well.

Not me! Though, I played a round much like this not long ago, on the receiving end of course, and ended up punching a wall and messing up my hand pretty bad 😂 quitting would have been far healthier….
everytime i play with flairs, i got melted by wildcats or other choppers :D but nice flight, i really enjoy to see how good pilots in bf

imo the attack heli's are waaaay stronger, if im not hitting my TOW wich is like 50/50, im hitting atleast 3-4 rockets out of 10 and blow up every aircraft .. even aa doesnt stand a chance, one strave and they are gone. I know you can do that with the stealth heli too, but the attack heli is a lot more reliable. Only thing im dying to are TV Rockets or RPG's. People really underestimate the attack helis. The Gunner is also a LOT stronger than the stealth heli's. The stealth heli is strong for solo play, but the attack heli just wrecks in duo if you know how to fly properly.
I hear you. When I'm running solo I tend to fly the stealth, but my buddy and I have been flying the apache/hokum lately and we're really getting the hang of it. I'm still getting the hang of air to air combat (particularly head to head combat) since the missiles come out from the sides.
@@sirjobert Yea its not easy to predict were the rockets are going. I learned it by playing against bots. Same with the TOW, hope it helps :) i bet if u start landing those TOWS across half the map, ur never going back, its the most satisfying thing in bf imo. have a good day
The fact that helicopter pilots can land outside the playable map for ground units, repair themselves, and then jump in and back out to reset the timer, is just complete bullshit. The solution to all this nonsense is simple; rather than tweak weapons systems, etc, just restrict air units (or at the very least, helicopters) to the map everyone else is stuck on. It's an advantage that makes no sense. For highly skilled pilots like this one, it's basically immortality. Yes, I only play ground units. And yes, pilots like this one do my fucking head in. But that doesn't invalidate my argument.
Yeah, I agree that this needs to be tweaked. I think air units do need more space than the typical map provides, but yes, I shouldn't be able to land in an area that ground troops can't get to. One of the things that really upsets me (not helicopter related) are TOR tanks that are able to sit in their spawn and snipe the other side of the map. It's insane... The only way to combat it is with helicopters, jets, or Sundance.
I agree, the TOR tank (and it's handheld little brother) is another absurdity of BF2042. I won't deny that there is a great deal of satisfaction to be had from jumping in one at the start of the game and taking out several enemy aircraft as they scramble to capture flags. But it's a satisfaction born of the frustration at the inherent imbalances of the game. I rarely spawn into a tank again once I'm dead. I hadn't played any of the Battlefield releases since BF2 when I got into 2042, so my point of reference is a little dated. But I distinctly recall the aircraft in BF2 being a lot more realistic in terms of flying characteristics. In the right hands, the rotary aircraft in 2042 have the maneuverability of RC helicopters or drones. It's just nuts. In the "improved" Hourglass, helicopters can hover above the spawn point in the top right hand corner of the map and kill everyone that appears before they know what is happening. Anyway, I'm ranting. It would be great if Dice sort some this out for Season 6 so all players have a fair shot.
Dude I've sniped pilots out of their seats at 650 meters with the handheld rail gun (I have a compilation of this on my channel). Insanity. It's incredibly satisfying, but man that's pretty OP, and gotta be incredibly annoying for the pilot LOL. 🤷♀️
Just watched it. Hilarious. I guess it does bring a kind of morbid balance to the game, albeit one few will be able or willing to pursue. I may have to devote the next hour or two of game play to railing pilots for therapeutic purposes. 😂@@sirjobert

Bro I find it very difficult to play the helicopter with the mouse, I usually play from the keyboard, I'm not bad, but when I come across a pilot who plays with the mouse, my job gets in a lot of trouble, how can I manage to play well with the mouse?

@@sirjobertagreed. I’ve just started getting into the phase of “function over form”, aka: stop moving so fast to do really cool moves and instead learn to control the heli better.
It’s definitely taken me a LONG way from “moving really fast and out of control” to “finally getting the hang of it”.
What sensitivity do you use, im a fairly new player in bf and im having a hard time aiming with the helicopter, flying itself is no problem but i find it hard to aim steady i feel like the helicopter/aim goes up and down and no matter what input i give it i can't get it steady :/
Mouse raw input - ON, Invert vertical flight: OFF, Vehicle mouse aim sensitivity: 20, Aircraft & Helicopter Control sensitivity: 70. Yeah, it definitely takes some getting used to!
Does vehicle aim sens affect helis tho?

Hey what is your control scheme, i mapped it so mouse aims left right up and down while A & D controll roll. I'd be interested to know if you run the same setup because i don't see any other way.
In this video, I was using the opposite control scheme... so mouse would control roll and A & D would be left and right. I was used to it, but it was definitely not ideal. I've since switched to the controls that you're using (it's called Rifle Aim) and I've been using it for maybe 2 months now. It was ROUGH to get used to at first but now it's so much better. I just went like 92-4 a couple days ago lol.
Think the biggest problem with Battlefield games in general is the balancing. The stealth chopper isnt op youre just good at it lol. Get an avg player whos average at flying and they wont be able to do much with it. Id imagine its tough for devs to balance against players who stand out vs your average casual hop on and game typa dude.
Yeah, the balancing act is tough I’m sure. But I’ll tell you ONE thing that is actually kind of ridiculous… the TOR tank. I’ve abused it myself, and there’s no way that I should be able to snipe helicopters out of the air from across the map the instant they spawn. It’s insane
@@sirjobert Agreed the tor is just point and click. There's no timing the projectile because it just instantly arrives at its target

Problem here is the flip of button change mode thing. Flares in one mode and stealth in the other. Penalty should be 15 - 20 sec to change mode. Here you go in - launch flares and when last wave is done you switch to stealth mode while flares reload. Only danger this one have is direct hit from Lis missile, recoils or tank. Anything with lock is useless. Flares in this game is flawed big. Launch and you are home safe - not even tracer darts work - anyone ever use those ? So all in all - all choppers in this game is overpowered big - also little bird !
Yeah, a good stealth pilot will know exactly when to flare/stealth in order to get out of danger. Like you said, lock-ons are generally useless against me. The thing that gets me sometimes is being hacked as it takes me out of stealth. If I get hacked and my flares aren't up, I'm SOL unless I can get into cover. The other things that get me are Lis missiles and TOR tanks.

Get a $4,000 gaming PC so you can play with mouse and keyboard. Just kidding... check your "Aircraft Control Sensitivity" setting and see if that helps. I haven't played with controller in years, but I know BF2042 has dedicated sensitivity settings for helicopters/aircraft. Lemme know how you make out.

One of my favorite things to do in battlefield is take out helicopters. I have a couple more videos where I take them out with the rail gun and Lis missiles
