But to answer your question, Wang Lin's red lightning consist of 2 things: the Ji realm (or for easy understanding, extreme state) that allows him to kill those in the same level; and the heavenly tribulation that let's him fight across level (I'm not sure about this as I didn't think he can kill Soul Severing yet either until the latest ep) Also, his restriction flag is made from ancient god level material so it's really powerful, plus Wang Lin is following the ancient god cultivation too which kinda makes him stronger.
