I think this is a service every optician and every glasses store commonly offer. for a lot of opticians, you dont even have to buy the product there, you just come in and ask for a resize or cleaning, if they carry the brand in their store they will do it for you for free.
No a lot of places won’t want to adjust if you didn’t buy it at their place bc they don’t want liability
Yes you can literally walk into any optician store and they'll switch out the nose pads or re fit your glasses for free

In Italy is pretty common to for every brand and family store, but you have to had purchased the glass at the precise shop where you have purchased them(pss if they are more than 12+yrs this tip would not apply:))

This is just a tidbit I wanted to share
As a training optician prepping to get my license, dont hesitate to speak up and say that something doesn't feel right, because adjustments aren't a "one and done" thing. Sometimes altering one thing alters another and its about making it a comfortable fit for you. Some adjustments are simple and some require more attention. In my experience, I always inform my clients to be honest about how the first adjustment attempt feels, because it provides feedback on how to better fit the glasses to you. Especially since no ones head is symmetrical. I always let them know what i did so they get an idea of what they like and don't like. ie: If the glasses slide down I taper the end of the temple arms on my adjustments, after shaping the bend behind the ear, I let them know what I did and they let me know if its comfortable or not so I can alter as needed.
You look absolutely stunning in the first, second, and third looks.
People should know that you can also do this with other eye wear stores.
I got my prescription from a big brand in our country and they have stores in almost every mall, the staff said that I can have my eyeglasses adjusted/cleaned at any branch. I think the staff would know if your glasses came from their brand.
I thought it was common to go your optician to resize you glasses 😅 well yeah I believe people with sunglasses wouldn’t think of it. I have to wear glasses & I go to my optician every year just to resize my glasses & sunglasses, at one point they always get loose.
Yeah…not many people know this who don’t wear prescription glasses. I was kind of surprised when they didn’t know lol. Always like why don’t you get them adjusted and they look at me like huh?

I bought glasses from an optician in Korea once and the glasses i had on were JANKY! missing that nose bridge cushion, crooked af, and loose on my face. So while he was working on putting an order in for my new pair, he fixed the ones i came in with for free. 😂 even replaced the nose cushion too. Korean opticians are so nice. I bought several pairs of sunglasses and regular glasses while there. And it is so cheap too.
Everywhere needs to do this because I don’t know how many times I got sunglasses and they don’t fit well
I work in an opticians and I do this for free. Take it to your local and ask if they can fit them to your face, shouldn’t take long and if you’re lucky they’ll do it for free too ☺️
Target Optical will adjust them.

You can go pretty much anywhere and they’ll resize glasses, clean them, educate you on scratches etc.
refraction optician assistance here, almost all optics or glasses store offer fitting and glasses washing for free even if you don't buy it from that store. at least in my country is.

This is why we have stores that you physically went to because people could actually help you! This is why buying everything online doesn't work. Especially if it has to be fitted or customized for you in some form or fashion..

U can also go to ur local lense crafters to adjust ur glasses. They shouldn't charge u unless its badly damaged.

Some stores will even do it to glasses they don’t sell - boots optician adjusted my specsavers glasses, i just had to accept that I couldn’t hold them liable for the glasses

No they do this every eyeglasses store 😔 I wear my glasses since 6 yo, my glasses get broken or misshaped, walk in any store they will reshape it for you

What if you wear these glasses in the winter. When it's cold outside and you soon enter a warm room? I think they will deform again. I had this with my frames, they supposedly adjusted them to me but they still became crooked after a few months of wearing them.

only some frames! flatba frames(the ones that are completely flat in the front) cannot do prescription due to prescription lenses being curved. :)

hi hi former gm employee, so glad you know this now but for future reference, please do not bring in this many at a time 🥲 they’ll adjust it for you when you buy them. when i used to adjust too many glasses at a time i would end up with really sore hands, and depending on the frames we have to heat them up a significant amount before being able to adjust them. i hope you don’t think im criticizing you, just wanted to let you know that to make it easier not only on you but also the staff.
It’s clear she wasn’t aware that you could resize them at the point of purchase so to save herself time/mileage she brought them all in one go and as a retail sales person as well, that is more than perfectly fine. It’s really not that serious and to feel inconvenienced by doing your literal job is crazy, but that just might be me 🤷🏽♀️.
@@fiveotree_ i literally said i’m not criticizing, im saying for future reference you can get them adjusted at the time of purchase. idk if you’ve worked with glasses or not, but adjusting that many frames all in one go can be really harsh on your hands. especially with thicker frames like LE, TAMBU, and other thick/bulky frames.
for sureee i felt bad asking and def triple checked that it was okay! Thankfully i came when the store was really empty so there were 3 workers helping me and they were all super cool!!
