On slow cooker recipes that have dairy in it, I’ve always been told to add dairy at the end due to souring and curdling. Also, if your salad dressing has vinegar in it, it will curdle dairy making buttermilk.
I am always finding new yummy treasures to try at Trader Joe's. My latest must-haves are the Korean pancakes called hotteoks. They are so delicious!! Highly recommend:))
I agree with dianeellis below, no vinegar. .I would stick to Heavy Whipping cream, not 1/2 & 1/2. Also, pour your cream into a cup and bring it to room temp before adding it to your crock pot. Adding the cold cream to a HOT pot will also cause it to curdle. Love your channel and have tried many of your dishes. You two are a "hoot"!!!
I also put cream cheese in mine..what I do different is I DON'T put dressing in it. But I use a good 3-4Tbs. of dry ranch seasoning! This is what makes it tangy, sweet, and just the best Alfredo!! Hope this helps❤
O&H Bakery is a part of my childhood. We would stop there for kringles to take to church on Sunday mornings. St. John's Church in Racine, WI.....there would be tables of different kringles (made only in Denmark and Racine, WI back then) and huge urns of coffee. Nice memories!
Unexpected Cheddar is my favorite thing ever!!! It also comes shredded in a package and in a spread in a little tub. Also the sparkling apple drink over Trader Joe’s version of San Pellegrino is delicious.
You all put the biggest smile on my face with every video. You’re such a breath of fresh air!! Also too much vinegar will curdle your cream. The acid changes the PH and maybe the last few times you just added a bit too much. If you add Vinegar to Milk it makes buttermilk so along with the heat I bet that’s what causing your issue.. Happy Holidays
Okay first of all I almost sprained my ankle running to watch this video when I saw it was you guys + Trader Joe’s. Talk about my favorite things. Then I was ready to text you and yell all caps if you didn’t put that Kringle in your cart in the store. 😂 I’m glad you made the right choice. Third, you guys had me cracking up and also, I’m sitting here writing down stuff *I* need to go back and find now. Especially the apple drink! If you have any of the Maple streusel bread left, it’s the best as French toast. Okay enough psycho babbling. I love you guys!! 😂🤣 I vote for more taste tests!
Acre Homestead, Becky, said that off-brand cream cheese have additives that make them creamier and cheesie. She said Tillamook doesn't have that stuff in it. You see YT people add cream cheese to crockpot recipes and it doesn't melt completely. Just a thought. ❤from Texas 🇨🇱 ~ Sharon 💜 💜💜
So with the mandarin orange chicken, we usually have the veggie fried rice. Even easier is the Spanish rice. Both are delicious. For the flatbread pizzas, we added their fresh pizza sauce. Then the burrata, then mozzarella cheese. It was delicious! You could even add fresh basil. Enjoy! ~Dana
That kringle is famous! We've had them gifted to my office from clients. The texture is SO good...my German grandmothers would call that a "kuchen". TOTAL comfort food!
Well just when I thought you couldn't make me any happier, here y'all come with another fun video!!!! And I definitely needed that pick me up this morning!!! I love the idea of more taste tests. Your laugh is absolutely infectious, and it just brings joy to me when I hear it. But girl, that beautiful little face of yours as you're trying something new, it tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!!!! I laughed out loud when you tasted of the lentil and chickpea crisps!!!! And I'm so glad Mr. Bunky is feeling better and sounding better!!!! Can't wait to hang out with y'all again!!!❤❤❤
I am going to say it’s the apple cider vinegar that will make your creamy mixture curdle. Never heard of adding that to an Alfredo dish. Love watching your videos!❤
The butternut squash and the green chili Mac n cheeses from trader joes is really good too. If you like fondue they have one you can microwave for 5 minutes in the cheese section that is really good too.
Im in Wisco and yes Danish Kringles are everywhere, its our specialty. Theres a couple different major companies that make then, Racine Danish kringle being one. You can actually order online as well. I recommend any with the cream cheese and the apple :)
The kringles that you said are flaky are called The Racine Danish Kringle. There are other ones made in Racine but the top tier is this one. Here in Wisconsin they are available year round. Hope this is helpful.🤗💟
I love that you two went to Trader Joes for your haul and taste test, so much fun. The unexpected cheddar is one of my faves. Would love to see more of these. Have a great week.
I love Cait and John!! They are SO hysterical. I've have thought about going to Trader Joe's, however, there is NO way I could take my husband. I'm lucky I can get him in Costco once a month.
Hi Bunkey’s!! Almond Kringle is my absolute favorite and Sams Club used to sell all the seasonal flavors but I’m not sure if they still do or not. Oh and only because my son in law is Danish, I’m told that it’s pronounced Kring-la rather than like saying Kris Kringle. Love your show and have an amazing Thanksgiving! ❤️
Those chips are made with two beans... so yeah they could be a bit dry? Maybe some salsa would jazz them up? P.S. My husband and I were watching a documentary and those honeys that come in a bear are mostly Karo syrup. The $20 honeys are pure.
Definitely gonna try that popcorn!!! I usually get the one in the red bag. Hash browns, orange chicken, mini ice creams are all our favorites too!!! Try the vanilla bean paste!!! Game changer!!! ❤❤❤
I just wish we had a Trader Joe’s in north Louisiana! Your new glasses look so cute on you. I googled things that cause your alfredo sauce to curdle. Perhaps it’s the use of a crock pot. Try cooking it on top of the stove. There’s lots of info on this subject so Google it. I think you can figure out what’s causing your sauce to break. Girl, if it still tastes good, don’t worry about it!
Cream\milk with vinegar makes buttermilk. Also, cheese will separate if it gets too hot when you're melting it. Try adding your cheese after your heat has been turned off for a few minutes. Try adding a squeeze of lemon instead of the vinegar to your individual bowls.
I was so excited when I heard you say you want to make your own simple syrups etc, I thought you meant you were coming out with your own sauce range and I was ready to with my credit card to order straight away 😊😂
CHRISTMAS IN LOVE! I watched it the other day. I was screaming in my head hallmark movie 😂. I am all about pickle anything. Have yall tried the planters pickle cashews. My Mom is hooked! Love y’all!
There is not one thing that I don’t ADORE about this fabulous video! You have SKILLS! Y’all are so FUN TO WATCH!! Thank you so much for sharing!! Great ideas!!
Ok you completely sold me on the Divi products! Ordered their shampoo and conditioner plus the scalp serum. That was a seriously awesome discount code. 30 off is crazy. You guys are the cutest! I laughed out loud at the large blueberries comment 😂
To make ricotta cheese you add an acid like vinegar or lemon juice to cream. I think that is what is going on when your Alfredo curdles. It is doing it based on how much acid you are adding and the temperature of the Alfredo when you add your acid. Enjoy watching your videos. Some TH-camrs have added their spouses and it doesn't work but with you two it is funny and natural seeming.
And yes, I heard you say it was missing Apple Cider vinegar, I don’t buy buttermilk, I make it by adding a couple tablespoons of vinegar to milk. So that will do it!
So fun with the Trader Joe’s taste testing! I agree with the other comments that the vinegar is likely causing the curdling. I have a cold drink I made this summer that included heavy cream and lemon juice (among other things) and it usually curdled a little. I did some research and I think you can avoid it by maybe the order of which you add the ingredients. It’s worth looking up. ❤
You have to get the Mini Ice Cream Cones in the Pumpkin Ginger flavor!! They are amazing but always sell out so go early when they first release in the fall!
My MIL was the worlds best Kringle maker. She was born in Central Minnesota. It's a Swedish holiday staple. I have her original recipe. The Honeycrisp juice in the cans is delicious. I got 4 cans.
The cheese Kringle ,from Racine Kringle, has like a cheesecake filling. They have been around for 65 years and very popular in Wisconsin. All different flavors and sizes. Pecan and Strawberry-cheese are my favorites.
Enjoyed your TJ's haul & taste test so much. I'm from Canada, but spend winter in the U.S. & we shop at TJs a lot. Love their products. We don't have it in Canada. Was hungry watching this.😊
I'm a new subscriber! I wish we had a Trader Joe's in Northern MN. Great haul! I grew up in Racine, WI. The O&H Kringles are the world's best! They dip slightly when sold in other places, or mail ordered, but still good. Fun stuff!
Not sure you know this but Aldi owns Trader Joe’s and Aldi has those Kris Kringle danish during the Christmas season! Still have one left in my freezer from last season.
Your cream sauce is probably separating because of the apple cider vinegar. I use vinegar to curdle milk for a mock buttermilk when I’m out of regular buttermilk. Love y’all you are so sweet and funny. Happy Thanksgiving!
The unexpected cheddar comes in a spreadable, which is great on pretzel thins or Ritz pretzel flips (my new obsession). I am off to the TJ's tomorrow morning. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ya'll I wana say BENDTTSENS BAKERY KRINGLE is sooo good and you can order and have it shiped to you from the bakery in RACINE WI. I know because that was one of my favorite jobs in high school. They have cheery cheesecake a chocolate walnut and sooo many others and they are make by hand not mass produced. Lmk if you would like the info soo glad to share . Have a blessed week. Try some hot water with 1/2 lemon squeezed in it and some honey to help sweeten it... (a tablespoon or a bit more )....that will help with any sickness ..blessings .
I bet that maple bread would make some yummy french toast !!!
Cream will curdle when you add vinegar.
Yes, please, do more taste tests!! I love it. Tells me so much. Thanks, guys :)
Wishing you & your families a Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving. 🧡
Those little chocolate balls are to die for. I bought lots of extras for the freezer to last for months to come. They're even good partly frozen.
On slow cooker recipes that have dairy in it, I’ve always been told to add dairy at the end due to souring and curdling. Also, if your salad dressing has vinegar in it, it will curdle dairy making buttermilk.
Yes, always at the end to prevent it from breaking the cream!
I was wondering about that!
To make Buttermilk you add vinegar or lemon. Maybe that is what has happened for you.
Milk or cream with vinegar or lemon juice will make buttermilk. That is why it is curdling
It’s possible the heat is too high which will cause curdling, maybe the crockpots too hot for it🤷🏻♀️ TYFS, have a blessed night🙏♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🙏
Such a great way to end my day! On the comfy couch watching the bunkys!
Y'all giving scores in real-time with your real and raw reactions at the same time.... Loved it!!
I am always finding new yummy treasures to try at Trader Joe's. My latest must-haves are the Korean pancakes called hotteoks. They are so delicious!! Highly recommend:))
Aldi also has Kringles, the almond ones… oh my!!! There is also a Hallmark movie about the factory.
Your green crockpot is so cute!
My alfredo consists of garlic sauteed in olive oil, add cream, simmer for a few minutes then add parmesan cheese. Maybe a little pepper.
It's the vinegar in the salad dressing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all and God bless the both of you

At Trader Joe’s , Have you checked out their Kringles? Omg it’s delicious! The almond filling is the BEST!
I also put cream cheese in mine..what I do different is I DON'T put dressing in it. But I use a good 3-4Tbs. of dry ranch seasoning! This is what makes it tangy, sweet, and just the best Alfredo!! Hope this helps❤

So envious that you have TJs near you!
This was a fun one.. looked delicious. You guys are so funny love you both.
Loved the taste tests 😊
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 🦃❤️
May God Bless you and your family.
Loved the taste test,y'all need to do more.😊
Okay first of all I almost sprained my ankle running to watch this video when I saw it was you guys + Trader Joe’s. Talk about my favorite things.

I was raised on Racine Kringle thats where I lived . They have them all year round .They are the best .
Oh how I love your fall/ winter time videos❤❤❤
Your Alfredo looks delicious. Have you ever added broccoli to it? That’s really good too.
That kringle is famous! We've had them gifted to my office from clients. The texture is SO good...my German grandmothers would call that a "kuchen". TOTAL comfort food!
The cheesecake Kringle is my favorite. I have cut it into portions, wrapped well and put it in the freezer. Nice little treat whenever I want. 😊
I always get the biggest smile on my face when I get a new video notification from you. You and Bunkey are one of my favorite couples to watch.
Great video.....taste tests are fun ❤❤❤
Well just when I thought you couldn't make me any happier, here y'all come with another fun video!!!! And I definitely needed that pick me up this morning!!! I love the idea of more taste tests. Yes! More taste tests! 💗
I am going to say it’s the apple cider vinegar that will make your creamy mixture curdle. Never heard of adding that to an Alfredo dish. Love watching your videos!❤
Yes to all the items you showed!!!!
Trader Joe's Stuffing flavored potato chips taste totally different than the popcorn. They're very sage-y and really good!
Two best cheeses at Trader Joe’s
Double cream Gouda
and Double cream Brie on a toasted baguette. Yummm!
Another great video chickie!🤗❤️

That Maple streusel bread is the best!!!
My Trader Joe's has cream cheese, but it has a weird consistency and it is not good. Fun video, Happy Thanksgiving!
A fun video! Your crockpot Alfredo looks so yummy!! 😋
Great video. Happy Thanksgiving and love to you all.❤️
The TJ’s tiramisu is so so so delicious!! Love the taste tests ❤
The Raspberry Kringle is awesome as well! You can freeze the Kringle & cut pieces off a little at a time!
Hi Bunkey’s!! Almond Kringle is my absolute favorite and Sams Club used to sell all the seasonal flavors but I’m not sure if they still do or not. Yayyyyy so excited for this ❤❤
I loved your face when trying the lentil chips. At least you are real. Too funny.
Hahaha I did NOT like them😜😝
They will have the cherry Kringle after thanksgiving. They’re the best!
It’s your salad dressings vinegar, that’s making the Alfredo sauce curdled.
When my thyroid died I lost hair by the handfuls and it never grew back. Thank goodness for wigs!! 😀
Bunky & Bunky, you need to take it off the heat when adding the cream or it can separate
Those chips are made with two beans... so yeah they could be a bit dry? Maybe some salsa would jazz them up?
P.S. My husband and I were watching a documentary and those honeys that come in a bear are mostly Karo syrup.

My friend at work sells Kringles around Thanksgiving for her church and I got a raspberry cream cheese one....can't wait to get into it!!

Super cool that my Trader Joe’s all the way in IL has some of the same items that I have bought! 😊
And yes, I heard you say it was missing Apple Cider vinegar, I don’t buy buttermilk, I make it by adding a couple tablespoons of vinegar to milk. So that will do it!

How about French toast casserole with the loaf of bread.
Such a sweet video! I am definitely going to have to try that crockpot chicken alfredo!

Thank you!! ☺️
Yes my favorite people
You guys can make your own almond Kringle. It’s easy enough for you two. Look forward to your take on Kringle. ❤️
Love the taste test!
Hey y’all! Quinoa I have found is best cooked in a rice cooker, I couldn’t ever get it right on stove top but rice cooker is 💯- cheers :)
Loved the TJ haul and your taste test❤

Hey gurl!!
Whisk an egg and temper it into your Alfredo sauce. It will stabilize it 😊
Your cream sauce is probably separating because of the apple cider vinegar. I use vinegar to curdle milk for a mock buttermilk when I’m out of regular buttermilk.
Love y’all you are so sweet and funny.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I just got back from TJs. I didn’t know about the popcorn. Looks like I’m going back!
This makes me want a trader joes even more lol
The unexpected cheddar comes in a spreadable, which is great on pretzel thins or Ritz pretzel flips (my new obsession). I am off to the TJ's tomorrow morning. Thanks for sharing.
