    📄𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
    If you haven’t heard yet, ChatGPT is an AI chatbot that can write codes and answer any type of question. It doesn’t have Internet connection, so all answers it gives, are produced by AI itself. Some people consider that it might eventually take over from Google.
    We’ve made a lot of science videos for this channel. So let’s ask some scientific questions and see how ChatGPT responds.
    Sometimes we’ll deliberately make grammatical mistakes and write typos just as people do all the time. We want to see, if the AI will be able to understand us.
    Let’s start with a straightforward question: What’s the farthest galaxy?. A new candidate has been found but ChatGPT has got it correct.
    Next let’s ask, as in one of our latest videos, why are there no green stars? Most of the information is correct, but then it says “the colors stars emit do not include green”. Actually this is wrong. Some stars emit all colors, including green, but we see them as red, orange, yellow, white or blue. But the answer is still promising.
    Now let’s ask a difficult one: who invented the first seismoscope?. Wow, we thought it was going to say “I don't know” but it does know. It’s even written about the working mechanism. Impressive.
    Let’s ask about the Fermi problem. We think it’s really likely to fail with this one. But, surprise, surprise, it knows what Fermi’s method is. But its estimate is too high. Let’s ask again. It’s getting closer. We think it’s done a good job. The actual answer is 83. Will it continue to learn? Let’s ask again . No it hasn't made any more progress. It seems as if it may have to come across this question quite a few times before it learns be more accurate. Let’s move on.
    Let’s ask another difficult question. During the Second World War, the Japanese used balloon bombs, which they called Fu-Go meaning code fu. Does ChatGPT know? Yes it does-very impressive.
    We’ve asked a lot of questions and ChatGPT has come back with an answer to them all. So we’ve been very surprised. We didn't think it would be this successful. We tested it and have to say it passed. It seems likely it’ll become very advanced in the near future and may even be a game changer.

    What I really want to know, is if I ask it "what is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?" Will it pick up the reference and say 42?

    • @ScienceWorld1
      @ScienceWorld1  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Actually we asked that question and expected that it might say 42 but it didn't. It says : "The meaning of life, the universe, and everything is a philosophical question that has been pondered by people for centuries. It is a question that may never be fully answered, as it is subjective and personal to each individual. Some people may believe that the meaning of life is to find happiness, to achieve success, or to make a positive impact on the world. Others may believe that the meaning of life is to seek spiritual enlightenment, to understand the mysteries of the universe, or to connect with something greater than oneself. Still others may believe that life has no inherent meaning, and that it is up to each individual to give their own life meaning through their thoughts, actions, and choices. Ultimately, the meaning of life, the universe, and everything is a deeply personal and subjective question that may never be fully understood." So, it doesn't have a sense of humor yet. :)

      It’s getting updates. I tried it again and got:
      “The phrase "the meaning of life, the universe, and everything" is a reference to the science fiction series "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. In the series, a supercomputer called Deep Thought is asked to find the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, and it ultimately responds with the answer 42, which is meant to be a humorous take on the idea that the question and its answer are both ultimately unknowable.”

    What about engineering solutions, such as increasing propulsion in a jet engine to fly faster, or other valuable business applications.

    I tried CHATGPT for a chemistry question and it didn't return a good answer.
    create an excel macro to calculate concentration of H2CO3 as (ppm of CaCO3) from input Total Alkalinity as (ppm of CaCO3), and pH.
    I didn't know it was supposed to change the answer if you make the same question. I thought you would need to change the way to ask the question.
    The answer is as good as your question. If your question has too many variables it may return a flawed answer.

    How about math problems?

    • @ScienceWorld1
      @ScienceWorld1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We did ask math questions; some infinity questions, montyh hall problem, ponzi schema, sum of the numbers from 1 to 100 (Gauss), is zero even or odd question, perfect numbers, simpson's paradox and so on. It answered all questions correctly and for many of them it gave detailed explanations. You can try it -> chat.openai.com/

    • @bobaa4268
      @bobaa4268 ปีที่แล้ว

      It got a long way to go as Google has unlimited knowledge after the year 2021, while the limitations for chat GPT is limited knowledge after the year 2021, the Google search can't have such problems or limitations, this limitation will be quite huge for chat GPT.
