Just for future reference, when they make most cubans over 500+ grams the necklace is going to/needs to have a curve in it so that it falls around the neck perfectly flat and the links aren’t getting twisted or pushed up against each other.
Thanks, this actually happened to me with a 300 gram Cuban and the links didn’t sit flat at the bottom. You just confirmed it. Just amazing how the manufacturers are clueless to this quirk in the final product! People like you and me pay so much money and yet attention to detail remains OUR responsibility and not the manufacturer’s
Sweet Chain... and you're right, there's not alot of vids of these big boy chains. There's like 5 vids of 500+grams 2 or 3 vids of 700+grams and dozens of a kilo. I'll be making my cuban very soon. 500+ of 18k. If GOD allows me to be here then hopefully by summer time I should have it. I posted a short vid of the gold I currently have and already ordered my 100 gram gold bar to finish off what I need for a 500+ 18k chain. I might make it bigger if I can manage to save a bit more. Sweet chain and wear it proudly.

@@Just100kaway Ive had a cuban in the late 80's and up until the early 2000's, Had to get rid of it to fight for custody of my son. Im in a much better spot now that I can buy it back. I definitely have a plan and what I want. Im not a TH-cam person and don't know anything about posting vids. I posted a short vid of what I currently have and it seems to be ok. I'll definitely be posting the chain once its made. Also, bigger chains need to have a slight twist to them. It sits better and flat when worn. So long as it doesn't twist crazy then a slight twist is fine for bigger chains.
@user-fb5uz3zc2t I never asked him what karat his chain was. To me, that's disrespectful to ask. I did however say my chain that I was making will be 500+ grams in 18k. Which I did make. You can see it on my channel. It's 610g 18k 17mm 24in. We all get what we can afford or what we feel comfortable in paying for an item. So if his chains 10k, 14k or 18k, then that's what he could afford at that time. I never question what karat somebody has. So, if you think it looks 10k, then you can think that. Reach out to him personally and ask him direct. I can however tell you, I was referring to the chain I was making and have now made. That's 18k.

Take it from me fam, you dont want it to hang straight. It needs a curve to lay straight. I've had 5 cuban links made...all big boy 16mm or higher. This one very popular jeweler didn't put a curve in my 20mm, and the links stood up straight. I was pissed, to say the least. Had to start over. You got a great piece bro!
